Squad 2024/25

I’m loving the player introduction videos on Insta, who would have thought our club doing something like that (?) - exciting times.

Squad 2024/25

Like others, I’m disappointed that there appears to have been no offer to Ethon Archer.

Looking forward to further player announcements.

Squad 2024/25

Happy with the first name.

I heard (third-hand) that there were a lot of players at Plainmoor last Friday for medicals etc - so hoping for some more names soon.

Obviously we need to avoid Manic Monday.

If the formal CVA stuff is sorted on Friday, are we in for a ‘Fantastic Friday’ of player signing announcements ?

Away Kit?

They’re a bit of a surprise. Great to be consulting the fans,

Let’s keep the positive vibes going - I’m for option 2.

Hope they’re on sale soon - the club can run a summer photo competition; TUFC fans away from home. … Abroad in an away shirt.

Bryn Consortium Take-Over

Great news about the Bryn Consortium. Can’t wait for the transfer of ownership to be completed. Look forward to hearing their plans for the club.

Truro v Torquay to be played at Meadow Park, Gloucester

Massive 3 points gained tonight.

Loved National League TV (and lense wipe). Great to have no commentary, the audio made me feel like I was on the Pop side - well done Yellow Army.

The club website says this match is now ‘all ticket’.

Also listed on the schedule of televised matches on National League TV.

Points deduction

Looks like good news:
- there are people seriously interesting in buying the club - so hopefully won’t fold.
- there’s an extension to the time available to complete the deal and avoid points deduction.

Clark Osborne/Jim Parker Interview

Like Knightmaregull I think that the council are key to this.
Talk of a meeting with the council is concerning because the sight of money to councillors (for the freehold) could be attractive to them so that they can splash some cash on the promises they have made.
The biggest motivation for councillors is votes at a future election. That why it’s important for TUFC fans to contact their councillors (irrespective of political allegiance) to let them know what is important. The council needs to protect the future of TUFC for the people of Torbay. This must be through solid legal provisions that protect plainmoor until any new ground is ready and ensures that the ownership of the new ground (and income streams) cannot be separated from TUFC.

Clark Osborne/Jim Parker Interview

I think it would be a shame to leave Plainmoor but worth it, depending on new location, if it gave the club financial stability.

Does a new ground with income generating facilities provide an income stream to TUFC. OR

Does a new ground with income generating facilities provide an income stream to a property developer - with TUFC being part of that income stream.
????

We need to look to our civic leaders (Councillors) to protect the future of our club by not signing away the freeholder to Plainmoor unless there is a water tight legal protection for TUFC.

Councillors should remember that TUFC supporters have votes.

Re: Torquay United v Dover Sat 20th

Great to get a win and 3 points.

Not a great game but after recent defeats I was pleased to get a win.

Referee must be a relative of Simon Mather not to spot one or two penalties.

Let’s hope there are no new injuries and we can improve the standard on Tuesday.

Torquay United v Hemel Hempstead Sat 16 Dec 3PM KO

Would be interesting to see the video (with audio). How much time elapsed between the whistle and Brett kicking the ball (?)
Shame one of the better refs (v low standard) based on previous appearances. You know the ref has lost the plot when he reprimands a ball boy … in NLS !
