Torquay United vs Tranmere Rovers prediction page
4-3 with our winner coming in the 98th minute from a mis-hit cross-cum-shot. Crowd a very disappointing c.2.5k.

Club Badge refreshed
I actually like it....(and I'm not easy to please!) .... I would only change one thing, and that is having 'TORQUAY UNITED' in the reversed out with 'FOOTBALL CLUB' not reversed.... to me the words 'Football Club' stand out more than the club's name.
I was never a fan of the 'lighter' blue.... so quite happy with the colours (although, being picky, I would've gone for an 'old gold').
Just need to see what it looks like on the kit.

Final Game - North Ferriby @ 12:15
I hope they do open it or that is going to be one helluva squeeze in the popside if the figures reputed to be attending actually materialise.
Was nervous enough before the Dover game and honestly expecting to be walking away from Crabhole with a very dark cloud hanging over me. And then they go and do this to us.... f**king Torquay United why can't we just have mid-table mediocrity... I'm getting on in years and the stress this f**king team cause me is becoming unbearable!

Mini documentary about Torquay United (First Look Media)
Great video WYG!
Remember after leaving the ground when a group of Swansea boys (or should that be boyos) thought it would be good fun to goad me and my brother-in-law as we walked down Marnham Road.... little did they know what was coming! Let's just say it involved a very irate United fan and a traffic cone (and some poor sod's passenger door).... ahhh, the good ol' days....

Final Game - North Ferriby @ 12:15
Time to rack up our highest score of the season. C'mon! Surely North Ferriby and their travelling hordes aren't going to turn us over again!
....but this is Torquay United... anything can happen.... and no doubt will..... United 7 North Ferriby 6 with United's winner coming in the 98th minute as Moore scrambles it in at the far post after it ricochets off the NF keepers’ arse.
COYY!

MOTM - Dover
Young
Williams
MgGinty
Harrad
Verma
....could've added a few more too!
I too thought there was more than the 244 announced.... certainly felt like more. After not wanting to visit Dover (not just the ground, but the town itself) I'm so glad I could get down there... fantastic atmosphere and the best performance (that I've seen) all season.

Dover Athletic v Torquay United 22/4/17
I wasn't actually going to go to this even though it's one of the local games for me.... I really do detest Dover Athletic, their fans (the ones I've had the misfortune to encounter on many occasions at both Angels and Gulls games), their manager who is a complete and utter cock, and, yep, Dover itself.... horrible town...and very reluctant to hand over my hard-earned cash to this horrible club.
But.... if we can scrape a draw (or even better a victory) it will make it all the sweeter and worth a couple of hours in the arse-end of Kent.
So, yes, I'll be there.... and at Plainmoor next week for the game which will have a massive bearing on the future of Torquay UNITED Football Club.
So... 1-1 (with results going our way elsewhere.... and then all to play for on the 29th)

Is a new Stadium financially viable?
MellowYellow wrote: ↑29 Mar 2017, 16:07 It took them !0 years but GI have built Swindon a new Speedway Stadium - so in 10 years time this is what we may get at the Willows. What do you think, better than what we have already got at Plainmoor. Construction cost £5

Another flag not shown in that shot says something along the lines of 'More Flags Than Fans'. Which reminded me of a game a few seasons ago when Witham visited Longmead.... one fan, one flag... and he sang he bloody heart out! If (and I hope it's a very big 'IF") we capitulate and drop down yet another Division, some of the grounds/fans that we are going to meet along the way will be an eye-opener for some (Whitehawk's ground makes Plainmoor look like the Camp Nou!). Let's hope it doesn't happen!

Ditto, but swap Wingate & Finchley for Tonbridge Angels (avg. attendance 421)... that would be so weird watching a team I've been watching since 1990 (and a current ST holder to boot) against the Gulls.... half'n'half scarf anyone?merse btpir wrote: ↑02 Mar 2017, 23:58 If United go down and my local club Wingate & Finchley go up; then the Gulls will 'be coming to see me' whilst playing a club currently averaging 141 at their home games!

Hello? Hello?
The negative about today. A loss.
The positive. Nobody below got any points today.
Another game closer to safety without even winning.
Anyone get soaked down there today?
