Torquay United v Boreham Wood Tuesday 22 Feb KO 19.45
The meanest defence in the league against a wasteful attack. It's only going to end one way.

Can We Make the Play Offs?
There was never any point in making the playoffs because we simply don't have the nucleus of a team capable of surviving in League 2.

Defense
Have you come on to this forum by mistake and are actually talking about a different team. Our strikers, Wight, Holman and Lolos have managed to score just seven goals between themselves all season, that is woeful.Stickingitin wrote: ↑19 Feb 2022, 19:36 If the defense is subject to the worst within the lower realm of this league then the defense has to be priority. We have the strikers and midfield for this league goalkeeper too, yet the defensive record does not read too well.

So basically what you are saying is that no one can be a football fan if they have a point of view on any other topic.North Curry House wrote: ↑18 Jan 2022, 20:18 It is you that should look for another site...and take the other total t**TS with you. You are NOT a football fan.

If an outfield player makes a mistake, it will probably not always result in a scoring opportunity. If a goalkeeper makes a mistake, it is probably going to give the opposition a real goal scoring chance. In my opinion, McDonald is a competent goalkeeper for this level of football.

Torquay United v Yeovil Town - Boxing Day
Nothing harsh about it, off the ball incident, straight red everytime. Well done to Lapslie who played him beautifully and to the officials who spotted it.
We've fallen victim to this sort of thing in the past, about time we started dishing it out ourselves.

The festive period!!!
Surely the sensible thing to do would be to contact Eastleigh and Yeovil and ask what their policy is on refunds if the matches have to take place behind closed doors.

Actually Ferguson won promotion on two occasions with St Mirren.dawlishmatt wrote: ↑22 Dec 2021, 19:28 Alex Ferguson was a crap manager, he managed Man Utd for 27 years and he never managed to win promotion.

Jake Andrews leaves the club
It's to do with the fact he is at the end of his career. He's 37, his body can't take it any more, hence he is slow and injury prone. We'll never get a run of games out of him and we can't afford the luxury of a player who spends most of his time on the physio table rather than the pitch.londongull63 wrote: ↑11 Dec 2021, 17:47
What's with the negativity with Wright - maybe he had one or two bad games earlier this season, I don't know, as I didn't see them.

First of all you have to find somebody willing to take them. I know if I was the manager of another club I would look elsewhere.JimNichol'sdog wrote: ↑09 Dec 2021, 20:45 If the club needs to get rid of players, then dispense with one of the reserve goalkeepers who have done nothing for weeks other than keep the bench and a seat in the stand warm. I'd like to paid their salary for doing nothing.

I don't understand what you mean by that. Why would the manager leaving lead to TUST "rearing their ugly head"? If the owner bailed out, yes then TUST would no doubt want to try and take the club over, but if Johnson went we would just get another manager whoever that is.culmstockgull wrote: ↑28 Nov 2021, 13:48 Can we please try to keep this in pespective, for those who call for Johnsons head,.... if he leaves, and why would anyone stay longterm for the perpetual negative press we are back to the TUST/TRUST rearing their ugly heads and it will be southern league football at best.

JuSt read the article and it does not bear any relation to what you described. I suggest that you don't actually understand what was written in that article and that further suggests to me that you never worked in the psychiatric field.dawlishmatt wrote: ↑27 Nov 2021, 20:36 may i suggest you visit a website called WebMD and look up the topic Gaslighting by a Dan Brennan MD. This topic headed Gaslighting: signs to look for explains the term as used in Psychiatry very well.

Are you sure you worked in psychiatry? Because that is not a description of Gaslighting. Gaslighting is where the victim has their sense of reality undermined by being subjected to a false narrative by one or more perpetrators.dawlishmatt wrote: ↑27 Nov 2021, 10:34 There is a term in the world of Psychiatry called Gaslighting. Gaslighting is a form of psychological abuse where a person will often use a forum or another platform of debate to abuse someone if they disagree with another persons opinions. These people often feel Anxious, Confused and try to use abuse to try and control or feel superior to others. In turn, many others will jump on the bandwagon and support the abuser therefore making the gaslighter feel superior to others.
People like Southampton Gull, SuperNickyWroe and more recently UnitedinDevon as well as many others don't seem able to have a proper debate on this forum without throwing insults into the mix. This is because they, in my opinion, are gaslighting.
Finally, i fully expect Southampton Gull to remove this post as that's the sort of behaviour i would expect from a gaslighter.
