2019/2020 Kits

Yes, it's clear what is happening. It's poor.

The comparison to Chelsea is solely this - both clubs have had 12 months since revealing their last kit, to get sorted for the following seasons effort.

One club are on the front foot, have revealed the kit and made it available to purchase. Whilst the other is dawdling. It's summer, now is the time to maximise sales & sell those short sleeved shirts.

2019/2020 Kits

Get the kits out now!! Start selling them. Chelsea’s is out already!!

I hope we don’t have to suffer with bits n pieces in pictures reveals etc etc Then they go on sale in August. Start selling them and let the supporters show them off. Especially as the holiday season will be upon us soon.

We've had 12 months to prepare this stuff.

What is our badge? I quite liked the first one, but it looks to be falling by the wayside after a season.

TUFC 2019/20 Squad

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Foley

Sam Foley, 32, was with Gary Johnson at Yeovil. Started his career at Cheltenham.

Won promotion from league 1 to the Championship with Yeovil under Gary Johnson. 5 of the last 7 seasons he's been a regular in League 1.

Centre midfielder or left midfield, released by Northampton. Just speculating that he may be of interest to us.

TUFC 2019/20 Squad

Plainmoor78 wrote: 03 May 2019, 18:21 Parkys people, you make good points and of course I don't know everything relating to Stockley's plight and if Johnson picked him I would accept that Johnson is better informed.
However we all knew Reid was played out of position during his early days here but that did not stop the majority of the fans getting on his back, so allow me my doubts about an unproven prospect.
By all means, just putting a counter argument regarding his time at Wrexham as being unsuccessful.

As you say with Reid, he was played out of position and didn't look like the player he was this season as a result. To those not making decisions, he may have looked like a lost cause. Fortunately he wasn't written off by those in charge and has come good for TUFC under the right circumstances. Like Tyler Harvey might in the National League ;-)

I'd just like to see Torquay play in yellow.

Not mango, but yellow.

TUFC 2019/20 Squad

Plainmoor78 wrote: 01 May 2019, 21:15 I'm not sure about this type of signing. Tyler has played at NLP level before and had his one year contract at Wrexham cancelled half way through after failing to score in 13 appearances and spending two months on loan at Bath City.
We need to concentrate on players who might have the potential to succeed at our level of are proven successes. Tyler has had his chance.
A lot of things to consider.

Was he fully fit? Did he get a full pre season, or did he miss it completely & have to get up to speed in 1st team games? Playing in Wrexham, did he have personal reasons for living in Plymouth meaning he commuted from Devon? Was he a regular for 13 games or getting 15 minutes here and there? Was he playing through the pain barrier & in need of an operation? Did he play centrally or was he outwide due to a lack of wide men? Did Wrexham appoint a new manager, who unable to add new players was told to let players go before adding anyone else? And Harvey, not happy in North Wales wanted a move nearer to Devon.

I don't expect you to know the answers, but those things don't always come to light. So on the face of it, he may not have cut it at NL level but there's always other things to consider. With the right team it may be different - I suspect that's the case with Tyler Harvey judging by his form since.

Jayden Stockley with 1 in 19 at TUFC suggests he wouldn't cut it in league 2. I had egg on my face when Exeter signed him as I assumed he was a poor signing after his goals for us; or lack there of.

Impressive opposing players.

Odin bailey - Gloucester City. Scored at Plainmoor I believe. Returned from his loan spell in January to Birmingham City and made the match squad recently.

He's one I'll be interested to see how his career pans out. Looked like a shining light for them.

Impressive opposing players.

I would add Cameron (son of Chris) Hargreaves (7) and Marvel Ekpiteta (5) who both stood out for Hungerford, two to keep an eye out for.

Hargreaves is on loan from Bristol Rovers.

Ekpiteta was the NLS player of the month just gone & his manager said is destined for the football league. Captain of Hungerford as well, literally Captain Marvel!

Anymore shouts for today or Chippenham?

Impressive opposing players.

Didn't know any of the teams, let alone the players in the division before our relegation 12 months ago.

Curious to know which opposition players have impressed you against United this season?

Bath
Billericay
Chelmsford
Chippenham
Concord
Dartford
Dulwich
Eastbourne
East Thurrock
Gloucester
Hampton & Richmond
Hemel Hempstead
Hungerford
Oxford - Kabongo Tshimanga (quick, young, powerful striker)
Slough - Jack Turner (GK, great distribution) James Dobson (LW now at Sutton Utd)
St Albans
Truro - Tyler Harvey.
Wealdstone - Jeffrey Monakana, winger/striker, very pacy.
Welling
Weston Super Mare - (Bradley Ash, may have scored at heir place.)
Woking - Armani Little (on loan from Oxford) Toby Edser (went to Port Vale after) Josh Casey.

16:20 to 17:29, including 31 minutes of being on hold.

Phone picked up and immediately hung up. Frustrating!

Ben Gerring HATES Torquay!

Sorry to be a pedant, he's actually a semi pro. Woking aren't Full-time.

Gerring said he had 2 jobs on a BBC interview prior to the Watford cup game. Still a weird thing to do regardless.

A small thought

I listened to a podcast recently which touched on this. When Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was first linked to the Man Utd job, a spokesperson for Molde's supporters group said they didn't think he would go, they didn't think he would leave what he was building at Molde for something temporary. And you think, mate it's Manchester United, what's wrong with you? :~D

If an opportunity at a higher level, a better deal in terms of wage or contract length, playing budget, or just a club in a preferable location came along for Gary Johnson. Let's be honest, he will be open minded about going.

No problem with that, he's been great for TUFC. Either way, No need for worrying and letting that spoil the best period since 97/98.
