Torquay United v Chelmsford City Sat 9 Sept KO 3pm

Unless there has been a concerted effort to enhance their defensive solidity, conceding goals could prove to be the deciding factor when two evenly matched teams face off. This is especially crucial when playing at home, as securing all three points against such teams is essential for TUFC to mount a serious promotion campaign.

I think they have more than enough ability to be doing a lot better performance wise but the management seem to taking an awfully long time considering most were here last season to get them playing as a well drilled passing team with a real desire to be successful. We're still waiting for a performance this season after 7 games
It sometimes can be a simple as that in certain leagues don’t over complicate things, get your players fitter and to work harder than the opponents is a good start.

I would need to look under the bonnet to understand the full extent of the problem, but it’s certain there is a problem trying to ignore that fact is not a good thing in my opinion.

Having played for the club and been involved in football all my adult life it’s sad to see the demise of the club. Getting things correct at a football club is a bit like baking a cake, get the correct ingredients and it tastes great, one ingredient missed and it just doesn’t taste right.

Football is a marginal gains sport, the margins between success and failure are so close one ingredient can totally change the dynamics of a club.

There are only so many managers you can recruit, most at this level have not been successful, I would suggest putting all your eggs in one basket hoping they deliver success from their philosophy and installed culture is a risk in the modern game.

If hope is a clubs only strategy then they are in trouble!

What’s the risk and reward of rolling the managerial dice, is what the club needs to weigh up. Any previous 3-5 year plan now must be in the bin.

I would suggest it’s very unlikely the club will get related in this league, something would have to go drastically wrong, it’s not the National League, so I would suggest if there is ever a time to strip things back and implement a 3-5 year strategy which is innovative to face off to the challenges of the modern game it’s now?

Don’t come on here often, but I’m quite taken aback to the demise of the club. Too be honest the fact I’ve never heard of the team we played today. How has the club managed to get into the southern national league is the question many fans ask.

One thing I’m sure of there is no way to change the past but we can change the future, question is who’s driving the ship and can they steer it into better waters?

I only hope so!

Very strange, does that put us in a difficult financial situation again or have we attracted some investment. To be fair I feared the worst last season but everyone involved did a wonderful job of keeping us up, how is this season looking?

Nicholson's Achievement

I for one said at times I wondered where it was all going, I will be the first to say although I fully supported Kevin on his journey there were times where I thought his lack of experience may be his Achilles heal. His achievement should not be under estimated in any circumstances, he has taken a team from the depths to what I now think is survival, he should be commended and the experience will help him further his career in management.

Massive achievement that should not be underestimated in any way, also a shout out to the support of Robbie Herrera who has been by Kevin's side through the good and bad times on the journey.

45-54 points, Welling stayed up on 45 points, this was on goal average last season, 51 points kept Hereford up on goal average 2013/14, 54 points 2012/13, 2011/12 46 points, 2010/11 46 points.

Its going down to the line?
