The European Union: We're out...!!!

Why were the leading brexiteers telling us we would not have to nescecarily leave single market in referendum campaign? What makes people think that the 27 European countries are happy to give the uk as good a deal as they have? Why do brexit people think remainers should get in line "you lost mate get over it" it's like being back in the playground. Accordingly by to the Daily Mail we are a " great nation reborn" aaaarrrrgggghhh

Nathan Blissett MOM today.. Gone tomorrow?

We paid nothing for him last season, his contract is up at end of year(ithink) so what figure do you think we should get?. Im guessing there are sell on fees.

I think one or two are being a little unfair on plymouth they have been very good to us both club and supporters over the last year or two.

Prospects for 2017

I agree with gullscorer here. Doom and gloom for too long now. A bit of positivity never does any harm.

Turning up on Boxing Day!

hector wrote:Like Edmund falling for the Turkish Delight in Narnia, falling for one nicely worded interview, with a compliant local reporter, an interview totally devoid of any detail - just vague sentiment - is folly. Supporters take their eye off the ball at their peril. Just remember, these property developers are here because they want our ground NOT because they want to lead TUFC to promotion. TUFC is a means to an end and people shouldn't be fooled.
Yes but it's all about there actions.until I see any different they have my support. Don't see what good it does protesting or staying away. They are here now and that usnt going to change anytime soon

Turning up on Boxing Day!

People can do what they want. For my part I'm happier now than a week ago when I thought administration. We would then have been finished. I was impressed by Clark Osborne statement. We will now see what happens. But until I see proof of GI taking us for a ride for there own benefit and detriment to the club then I feel the best we can all do is pull together and get 100% behind the team. To ensure safety from relegation.

Gaming International have taken our club hostage

So we all write a letter to the national league. And we get our wish Gi is not allowed to buy our club. Ok fine then what? We get put into administration. The administrators fail to find anyone else to buy the club. What do you all think is going to happen then. Oh hang on sorry I forgot our Chinese investors will save us. Dream on.

Gaming International have taken our club hostage

Where was this Chinese lot before last week how do we know they wouldnt have pulled out before completion like everyone else.

Hell of a lot of talk on here from people who seem to know an awful lot. If theres one thing i have learnt in my life and that is there are two sides to every story. If i dont see facts then i have no reason to believe.

For my part i hope this is the beginning of something better for our club. Maybe it will be maybe it wont time will tell. And theres no point fretting because there is bu**er all any of us can do about it.

Brace yourselves

Give Gilbert a game wrote:As supporters of TUFC a lot has been said about the situation we find ourselves in. Until the matter resolves itself there will be conjecture, rumours and speculation. As a supporter of 28 years I am as anxious as anybody to see a successful outcome to this sorry mess.

The reason for the post is that I am appalled by the disgraceful personal attacks on Dave Phillips. I have known Dave as a friend for many years and can tell you the following: He is as genuine a man as you could wish to meet, a fan since the early fifties who like you has followed them through thick and thin. The image that seems to have been created is that being a bookmaker he must therefore be a crook or a shyster, fleecing the man in the street. The FACT is that having worked with bookmakers on many racecourses, bookies are just normal guys and do not consider punters as "mugs".

Dave cares passionately about TUFC - why else would he put tens of thousands of pounds of his hard earned money into the club and spend countless hours every week for eighteen months trying to save YOUR football club when at 71 years of age he could have just put his feet up at home and lived an easy life. He did not see his cash as an "investment" as I am certain he never did expect to see it again - if he did, well that was a bonus.

Dave would be the first to admit that the board has made mistakes but he didn't inherit a going concern, he inherited an already ailing business. The "keyboard wankers" remark although perhaps ill-judged was in my mind perfectly understandable after the disgraceful personal abuse to which he has been subjected.

One simple FACT is this. Without Dave (and others) putting their money in, YOU would not have been able to cheer on the lads for the past two seasons. The man is doing his utmost to keep your club alive and I know that the silent majority out there can actually see this. It is the few that subject him to continuous and slanderous abuse that should be looking at their actions. Shame on you.

Thanks for reading this.

Brace yourselves

monkeyboy wrote:I feel a lot more positive about GI than Phillips et al. Hopefully, once the new owners have introduced themselves and their plans, some fans will be less worried.

My short term hope is that they put together a team of staff that run the club more professionally, create a unifying and rewarding supporters club and invest in Kevin Nicholson and the team.

Time will tell but I for one rightly or wrongly was fearing administration today. And at this moment in time prefer this option.

New Owners - Soon?

Why cant people just wait and see.Maybe it is GI nobody here knows. Maybe we are stuffed if it is them or maybe we wont be.One things for sure this club has to be sold or else we will be stuffed.Nothing anybody says or worries about here is going to make a blind bit of difference.
