I think that ship has sailed and we may have to accept that we will be left behind to some extent. I see next season, assuming we will be competing in NLS, as being one of consolidation and hopefully more stability rather than anything else. Build from there fingers crossed.

Why is it nonsense that we don't know the identity of the prospective buyer? We are obviously not going to hear anything until the ink is dry. Sure that is usual practice.

Point deduction.
Don't blame the national league for this. The fault lies squarely with the shambles of our club. This is meant to be a professional operation and we can't even get the basics right of knowing who can and cannot play. Amateur hour. Lets hope it doesn't cost us.

Tonbridge Angels v Torquay United, March 16 3pm
We've been poor all season in a very poor league. Many of our early wins flattered us and we were fortunate to be second. Our position said more about the standard of this division rather than our own abilities. Sadly, despite some experienced players, this team has no fight, leadership, organisation or the nastiness required to win games. The last few weeks should have seen players coming out galvanised, determined, a seige mentality to win games. Unfortunately we have seen most of them do the complete opposite. If we are still a going concern next season, I dont want any of these players here, its needs a compete refresh.standupsitdown wrote: ↑17 Mar 2024, 08:21 More or less the same players were in a play off position for the first half of the season.
Since Christmas we have achieved relegation results.
What has changed?
I also don't blame any fan who has had enough and decides to stop going. Its a personal choice at the end of the day.

If we are still a going concern at the end of the season, it is clear we need a complete clear out of the playing staff. In all honesty, I wouldn't be upset to see any of these players leave.

Good luck to him. He certainly won't be turning out for us next season..he deserves better than NLS.North Curry House wrote: ↑18 Feb 2024, 21:24 He is more likely to fall on his shoulders and miss the rest of the season. Rumour has it that he has been tapped up by Yeovil for next season.

I'd rather not have a manager at all than have loser here.

It's an absolute farce. We don't deserve anything from the game, we are so poor. What will this be, one win in eleven? An absolutely rotten set up both on and off the field.

The season has gone. The club now is beyond toxic. There was no reaction from the board last week, why will this week be any different? Teflon Gary stays on and leads us into the sunlit uplands of lower mid-table. Glorious days.

Dear God, it appears that even Saturday's absoute debacle is not enough to stir action at Plainmoor. We are doomed.
