We can't blame the officials for our predicament. They are bad and bad for every team.

Torquay United v Wealdstone - 11th March
Lapslie out for 3 games, Collins injured, Jarvis struggling. Bugger all on the bench as has been the case all season. We are currently 7 points from safety as things stand. Im afraid we are doomed and regional football awaits.

Gary Johnson, stick or twist? - As of 07/03/23
There's barely a plan A at the moment, to expect a plan B from this shambles is a step to far. Unless of course you count producing crap on the pitch and alienating the fans off it, as a plan.

Gary Johnson, stick or twist?
CP Gull wrote: ↑07 Mar 2023, 22:01 I agree. Regardless of what you think of Gary Johnson it really doesn’t matter now. This team is clearly not good enough to keep us up and I cannot see a scenario where GJ can continue next season in that scenario. The owners/directors clearly don’t WANT to sack him and to be honest it’s too late now anyway. I understand that GJ doesn’t want to retire on a relegation- it’s a sad end to his management career (which has had many more highs than lows) but it’s “not all about him” and much as it sacking him would be a sad way to end his career …. the bigger picture is the future of TUFC. As for GJ, I sincerely doubt that he will even want to manage again - he’s had his day, but it would be selfish on his part to see this season out on the basis that he can go out on a “high” of keeping us up (unlikely). The time has come to appoint a Manager with a view to next season - someone who can hopefully see us bounce back from NLS. It would be daft to expect anyone to come in at this late stage and save us from relegation from the NL …. because quite simply the squad is nowhere near good enough and in reality both the Johnson brothers and Downes know that too. If they don’t, then they just need to look at videos of the last half a dozen games or so and look at the quite frankly pathetic number of goals we have conceded from free headers in the box! Embarrassing from a Sunday League side …. let alone a National League one!
Time for a change - but it’s too late to realistically expect anyone to turn thins around. Our only hope is too bounce back quickly next season- but that is going to be a big,big ask!

Solihull Moors v Torquay United - 7th March
It will be the usual crap under the 'grilling' he'll get from our Dom. The club is an absolute shambles on and off the pitch.culmstockgull wrote: ↑07 Mar 2023, 21:38 Anyone want to guess the excuses that johnson will come up with after tonight lamentable performance.
Same old mistakes and the unbalanced nature of this squad is unforgivable. Simply not good enough and Johnson has to take responsibility but you can bet he won't.

Too late, things needed to change months ago. This stays the same then we are cooked.Stickingitin wrote: ↑07 Mar 2023, 21:11 If this game stays at 3-1 or even worse, it is a clear sign that things HAVE to change.
There is no compensation losing against ten men only the facts.

He should have been shown the door before Christmas. What an appalling season we are having, same mistakes week in, week out. The buck stops with the manager. His excuse yesterday of 'it's what happens when you're at the bottom' is absolute nonsense. No Gary it's what happens when you sign poor footballers and play them out of position.

We had an awful first half until we scored. We started the second half well obviously but then we capitulated after the red. Nothing on the bench (as has been the case all season) to change things and taking Tope off so early was a mistake. Very frustrating.GullsUnited wrote: ↑21 Feb 2023, 21:51 Once we scored we looked more likely to grab more goals, red card changes everything that even their commentator said it was a ridiculous red

Agree 100% forevertufc.
I would never condone personal abuse, but the fans have every right to express their views in other ways, it appears Johnson's fragile ego can't take it. At any other club he would be getting absolute pelters from the fans.
