Ex-Gull watch
It’s a player/coach role so he’s probably thinking about his next possible career in football. Players often retire at 35-38 ish so you have to be looking beyond that.

Can’t help but feel that this bit behind the pop is completely wasted space. Maybe the option to have a beer/fag out here would take the pressure off boots and make a better match day experience? A doorway would need to be made to the left inside the concourse though so I’m not sure how possible that is.DerekDawkinsJnr wrote: ↑10 Jun 2024, 13:47 Yes, lose both the after goal music and the match day surcharge. Both terrible.
At grounds like Yeovil, they have enough space behind the stand to sell beers during the game, as well as before and after. Don't suppose there's enough space at Plainmoor for that.... maybe in the corners you could, but it would need stewarding....

No mention of Craske or Hasani’s contract length. Part timers?

Sensible mixture of one and two-year deals there. Crosbie is one I’m intrigued by, you’ve got to take risks sometimes and I’m sure Warnock/Wotton have done their homework.

Buckle’s first seasonThe Great Muta! wrote: ↑04 Jun 2024, 22:56 Nobody's being negative to suggest a mid table season at all, it's realistic in my eyes, and just glad that we (hopefully) won't be near the wrong end of the table next season, can anyone tell me o another club where 8,9 or even 10 new faces have been put together and it's just worked immediately??, I'm struggling to think of any, and I'm saying this quietly....9/10 it usually has the opposite effect and it doesn't happen, my big hope is Paul Wotton is in charge and he knows this league inside and out, and we are in safe hands with him, I just think we need to be realistic, esp with some decent teams in this league that we all saw last season, and now Borehamwood as well.

A clean slate at last.
Is it just Booth contracted for 24/25?
Lapslie cruciate injury?
Luke Young? (Very much doubt it)
The ginger fella from Bath?
It’ll be interesting to see who is offered a new deal. I’d offer contracts to Lapslie (injury depending), Ash, Jarvis, Stobbs, and possibly Moxey/Hall.
This has got the feel of Buckle’s first season, I think he only had 4 players when he came in which were probably Hill, Woods, Bedeau and one other.

New manager announced - Paul Wotton
We’ve got on board England’s most experienced manager who will work for free, anything he doesn’t know isn’t worth knowing. His contacts will be massive for us.

Expect the sale will be announced to the press at the same time as in a club statement. Usually 5-5.30pm weekdays.brucie wrote: ↑28 Apr 2024, 00:17 Noone suggested that an announcement was going to be made yesterday - in fact the opposite was specified. The information was specifically that the sale was going through yesterday.
Whether or not it is correct I dont know, but to accuse someone of making it up and it "clearly not being correct" is nonsense.
If the sale did go through yesterday and its now the weekend I would suggest that the the earliest we would here about it is next week.

2. It's a South West based consortium
3. Takeover should be completed by mid May
4. Playing staff will be contracted full-time.
I've had a couple of individuals suggested to me as well as their lines of business and if those are accurate; I would imagine one of those gentlemen will be very frustrated indeed at the slow pace of due diligence when set again his obvious entrepreneurial and selling skills."
