Torquay United V Woking-Tue 18TH
Any worthless hack judges a striker only on goals, as Quigley has none at present he will find himself in the firing line (not too dissimilar to what is happening to Rooney). The team is continuing to bed in and hopefully we can continue to gather the points that will put us mid-table in April. We go again at Grimsby by which time this will be yesterday's chip paper. Up the yellows!

Wrexham v Torquay
Just viewed the highlights which are on the Wrexham Youtube channel. 15 minutes worth, although a large chunk appear to be pre-game amble.
From a defensive perspective the first goal is a shambles as Carmichael lets a ball bounce in the area that he has to put his foot through. Second goal sees Courtney Richards go ball watching and leave his man, good finish, but the lad has too much space due to Richards' indiscretion. The penalty isn't a foul, think the referee just decided to give it as he felt that Carmichael didn't have complete control in the challenge he enters into. Would be harsh to criticse the lad as it simply isn't a foul
Roll on Saturday and a chance to put it right and move on

Think it is Alex Fisher who Cox had at Mansfield, previously on trial at Exeter probably about 6ft 3 so befitting of target man, although goal was with his feet from 1 on 1

Ah so the new consortium want control in mid June, wonder if that will drag out until 30 June with someone footing the bills until then?! I know that's what I would make happen ![Whistle ](./images/smilies/whistle.gif)

Thea has said she will bankroll the club until 30 June. If I was a prospective investor, knowing the club was losing money, I would take advantage of Thea's generosity and not be taking over until 30 June. Lets face it in the next 6 weeks the club isn't going to be making much money.
I think some people need to understand the 'beautiful game' ceased to exist a little while ago now and instead we live in a world where the club is first and foremost a business with the obligation to provide entertainment second (some would say this has been shown very well the past 2 seasons!). I know that entertainment levels may lead to increases in finances, however first and foremost any prospective buyer needs to get the bottom line showing a positive figure and if that means taking a few steps backwards then so be it.
Mr Masters maybe onto something whereby if Truro and Torquay can play in the same stadium the overheads are significantly reduced and therefore the bottom line positive figure maybe easier to achieve for whoever is owner of Torquay United. The idea of a ground share even in the short term in my eyes is positive news!

KT will not get paid enough to ride off into the sunset unless a deal is completed.
If anyone is under the idea that the largest part of Mr Kelvin Thomas' salary isn't from a percentage of the completion of the deal then they are misguided. How would I know? Because I have worked for companies that have Corporate Finance departments that do this line of work and never will the largest percentage of the fee be paid until the deal is done. Quite simply it is how it works!

Takeover 50/50 ?
There are a lot of things that could still go wrong, hence it is only 50/50. Having seen various business deals many far larger than this go belly up at the final hurdle.
I find it laughable people were suggesting the year end figures for 30 June 2014 that were recently released would have an effect on the deal as I can guarantee the buyer is looking at the management accounts of the club right up to the present day so certainly know what the finances look like!
I suspect if this deal is done it will be formally completed on 30 June 2015 to tie things up nicely (although there is no specific need as could do a short period of cessation accounts and a long first period under the new regime). Fingers crossed for new owners soon!

Had a feeling we would win today. Kept it to myself as it is often best to.
Sense the masses who were baying for blood will have to wait. One swallow does not make a summer but lets enjoy the 3 points tonight, which I think will keep us safe in the division.
