What so Brucie you've never seen it before where a player doesn't want to be at a club, is forced to stay and plays awful. Leaves on a free and then plays unbelievable the next year for his new team?
You're talking complete bullocks if you say you haven't.
He's hardly been a game changer. I'd rather get a fee for him now than nothing at the end of the season.
If you had been running this club Brucie then we would be 100x worse than we already are so you're hardly one to criticise

So what if he was our top scorer? 7 goals is hardly prolific. And I doubt he would have scored more if he'd stayed.
We have the money now to bring in a replacement. All we need is 1 goal a game to win, the way we have been playing, whilst not getting the results, we can definitely achieve it
Saying now that the club is going to fold, will only be a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you all love the club so much, why would you let that happen?

How that's worked is we've taken out the sh*t players who added nothing (Briscoe, Heslop etc) and brought in a couple of players who can do their job. Which has produced some decent performances, albeit the results are no better, but progression is being made. We now have the funds to bring in 1 decent striker, who could give us that regular goal a game to push us out of the relegation zone.
If we keep playing the way we have, and score a couple of goals, we could build some momentum and go on a run to get us out of this mess.

The board could have done nothing else.
He handed in a transfer request. They said they tried hard enough to persuade him, but he still wanted to go. If they had then gone and rejected his request anyway, then his head wouldn't be in the game anyway. Each player has to be 100% focused on each game and if he wants to be elsewhere, then he needs to go.
As a positive, we have received a fee and also freed up his wages so we should theoretically be able to bring in a better player.
Stop moaning about things that you dont know the full details of and see who the club can bring in.

I read somewhere that KN was thankful that Louis was co-operative in coming to 'an agreement' which pretty much suggests there is some money in it for Briscoe

I don't know if that is correct, that's why I was asking.
Hopefully we go away from the match today not too disappointed. On the whole a solid defensive effort except for a fluke goal. Limited the league leaders to 5 shots which isn't bad! If Heslop had scored early in the 2nd half then everything could have been conpletely different.
I personally think that we can go into Friday feeling confident that if we can perform like we have done for the last 2 games, we can definitely get some more points off Forest Green.

Nicholson doesn't have much of a say does he? I thought Herrera was acting manager when Nicholson is on the pitch

My point is that it is achievable. Previous results should have no bearing as they can not be changed: we can only look to the future and hope that things improve.
You say that we need 50% or 1.5 points per game. That's only mid-table form. A little creative spark and a regular goalscorer (which we had in Marsh before he got suspended) may be all we need to gain confidence, momentum, and most importantly, points.

Admittedly it wasn't very well worded. I don't want them on here as they're a bunch of idiots who talk complete nonsense but this is how I see it.lucy6lucy wrote:Very confused by your post. I thought you where them in a different name, but you signed up to the forum last year, so your probably not.
You don't want them back, but now want them on here. WTF are you talking about.
There was the main group of posters, who may have slightly conflicting views, and then you have George, mushroom etc.
The main posters, even though they may disagree on some things, stuck together to create a sort of army, to fight off the idiots.
The posters won, and George, mushroom etc. pissed off.
Since the posters now have no common enemy (which before was the idiots), the posters army has disbanded, and are now fighting each other.
What needs to happen is we need to stick together, not fight each other. (Which is what George wanted us to do)
The club needs us to remain positive to get through this. If the fanbase falls apart, the club falls apart. Simple as. We can't let that happen.
