Torquay United programmes/bits and pieces

Greetings

Argyle fan here who has posted occasionally....

I recently acquired a box of programmes that has some early 70's United homes and aways, in very good condition ,plus some more esoteric bits and tons which I have listed on eBay including pre season friendlies, match posters, hand books, Gulls Cry magazines and a fair few autographs. Ebay id is psleeman if you want to have a look.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/295823742285 takes you tone of the Cardiff home friendlies.

I am always happy to look at wants lists as I began disposing my collection a few years back due to lack on interest from my daughters....obviously it is mainly Argyle related but I do seem to have acquired an inordinate amount of other stuff!

PM me if you have a wants list.

All the best for the season ahead.....looks like you have a decent makings of a team if last nights game was anything to go by.....and I am sure a couple of our youth players would benefit in the same way Randell did .

Witty.Humorous Player Nicknames

Hi

Not nbeen on forum for a while but I am on a small personal mission to identify the funniest most apt and witty player nicknames by club,,,

I'd love to know any Gulls ones past or present

Also who would be your candidate for Beast/Psycho or Trigger ( apart from our Trigger Mickey Evans who I think you had on loan once)

Best of luck and hurry back to the league!

Torquay United 1970's programmes available

Just to say I had a great message from an ex Swindon Player looking for a copy of a programme he played in and by complete chance I had it...

It was a Wessex Youth league match from the 60's...so delighted I could help. Bizarre that a Torquay forum would connect two other clubs but that's football!

Still have these home programmes available...email your wants to [email protected]

Torquay United 1970's programmes available

I have an almost complete run of Torquay United programmes available from season 70/1 to 79/80 including some friendlies.

If you have wants then email me at [email protected]. I am also interested in old Torquay vs Plymouth programmes in the Devon Bowl and South western or Reserves and Youth leagues.

Sorry about the end to your season....if we have any nous we will loan you some of our up and coming youngsters for next season to help get you back up...

Not sure we would feel the same if the Greasy ones were in the same position :)

Cheers and chins up!

Peter
