Torquay Fans United?
In my view its the only way forward,a fresh start under our own leadership.Just too toxic at Plainmoor for any kind of recovery.

Guiseley v Torquay United
Today shows just how difficult it is to be a Torquay supporter. As per usual I sat watching sky sports to see how we get on,as a golf fan and much to my wife's annoyance,I continued to watch the results show and when we went 2-1 up I thought maybe we could hang on,to go 2-2 with six minuets left the heart beat went up untill at last the full time said 2-2,thank goodness and turned over to watch the golf,ah I thought,I wonder if we are off the bottom of the league, looking on my tablet I discover that we have lost 3-2 with an own goal by a player that had been substituted five minutes earlier,I am confused!.
It could only happen to a Torquay United supporter

Another Shambles
The club we all know and love is finished, has been for some years and even National South would be a bridge too far.I am all for a new start at a place where we can compete and afford the position we find ourselves.Prossional football in South Devon has gone,no vast support,no one willing to put in the money to compete at that level and no players good enough willing to relocate to Torquay so all in all we are another Barstable Town.

SACK NICHOLSON!!
I worry for the sanity and health of Kevin Nicolson and of course his family, how after two and a half seasons of total disorder and abismal results can this guy have a normal life,he is on the way to a breakdown of our former managers magnitude, for his own sake and that of his family he should either walk away or get help from an expierenced manager to take the heat away from him,but of course ego is a ery dangerous condition.

Gateshead vs Torquay United 12.8.17
As in life and being a, Torquay United supporter you have to manage your expectations. We have one more point than I expected after the first three games with a goal difference of minus four, about par for the course. We now have another six games on which to judge the squad and the management,at that point I think we will see where the season is going .We are what we are,a club in decline with a inexpierenced manager and new owners who have no idea about running a football club although I do think we have a better squad than in the last season but as in expectations mine ain't high.

Club Badge refreshed
Can't say I like the badge and certainly not the dark blue/black,but then it's properly a bit modern for me but won't loose any sleep over it.

RIP Norman Medhurst
Very sad to read of the passing of Norman. I always thought that Torquay had the very best sponge man and of course we did .How lucky were we to have him.R I P Norman

Brucie V Dave - This time its personal!! ;)
I think there are merits for both points of view,Eastleigh are lucky to be situated where they are,in at a place which is surrounded by green fields so they can utilise this facility along with a more professional approach. Their nearest neighbour ,football wise ,is Southampton which being a premier club is not the cheapest place to visit so the right pitch to the locals would not fall on deaf ears, also either way along the coast you get to Brighton and the other way you are in Bournemouth so a lot of chimney pots in between to have a go at.If you are successful by climbing the leagues over a period of time your profile becomes bigger especially if you can have someone with a Bob or two to keep the kettle boiling, which is where the other point of view comes in.To keep the new punters onside is easier if you can spend the money with high profile signings and new initiatives, people like success and will follow a club that has grown from nothing , it remaines to be seen if the day dawns and Eastligh is left to fend for itself,do they have enough in place to keep progressing without its benifactor. Torquay is a very different kettle of fish altogether, stuck in South Devon with two clubs not thirty miles away and run into the ground by people who should never own a chip shop let alone a football club. There must be dozens of up and coming clubs all around the country that have the potential to overtake Torquay ,I M o league football is unsustainable in the bay ,we are what we are but they are my club and will always be,sorry too much red wine at lunch.

I would think it only good news that Andy Candy has got a job, paid or not, inside Plainmoor.Hopefully it could be our wooden horse.

Season tickets
I have bought season tickets in the past and never used them as I live abroad but wanted to support the club but not this season.G I have shown me nothing to give me hope that they will support the club, plenty of fine words but as yet no action so why would I give money to rich people to put into their own pocket.
When and if they do then I would buy a ticket, but I can not forgive them for not funding some new players at the end of last season, shows to me something very sinister.
