Re: AN APOLOGY

I too have had the pleasure of meeting Dom on a number of occasions and he is one of the most dedicated fans that this club have. And a great bloke too.

Yeah he has done something silly, don't we all? This nonsense about Scottish FA is utter rubbish, why because he had a whistle there for he should be punished for it in 2 way not just one?

I was not at the game, but from what I have heard the reaction from certain Torquay 'fans' should be the issue, not the original incident.

Next season!

Looking ahead to next season I think there are a few changes, and ideas we can put forward here are mine, then you can put yours below;

1 - EVERYONE in the middle for every game, except for Plymouth, Exeter and Rovers. When the likes of Dagenham or Barnet bring 21 fans down it's pointless going down there, and as the players will no longer be coming out there it just ruins the atmosphere.

2 - 'Gulls on Tour days' for big away trips such as Plymouth, Rovers, City and Cheltenham have gulls on tour day so we all work to going to these specific away games.

“O’Kane is a good player but we never asked him. There is not interest. He is a good player but not even at the moment or in the future because already in this position we have players - one very nearly to sign and one nearly to join.” - Paolo Di Canio

Re: how many games Torquay united have you watched

As a student, I'm able to get to every home game but only a handful of away games. But I'm a shareholder and yes I've been Gilbert so that must get me a few extra marks?

I think we should leave this until after the play-offs.

Cheltenham Perspective.

I thought I would do a little research this evening into the other half's optimism on the forthcoming Play off semi finals. All from 'The Nest' http://www.robinsnestforum.co.uk/viewfo ... a4d1deda73" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; their own fans forum. And here are a few...

‘We will destroy the Gulls if they are 3-0 down at HT against the worst team in the Football League. The wheels are falling off their wagons.’

‘I was at the Hereford v Torquay game, and have seen Torquay play a few times recently. They were very unfortunate to be 3-0 down at half time even if they weren't at their best. They could have had 3/4 themselves and Hereford seemed to have a bit of fortune. In the second half, it was one of the most one-sided games I have seen, and we might struggle against them if we allow them time on the ball. Absolutely crucial that we start off on the front foot.
In terms of flair, we probably edge their team; but in terms of solidity and endeavour, they clinch it. We need to up our game big time to have a chance.’

‘And let's face it, they were lucky to beat us at WR last time. They got 1 chance and scored it and we didn't play well but still had by far the better chances, and that was during their long winning run. At theirs I believe the 2-2 draw was one of the best draws you're likely to see.’

‘Cheltenham at their consistent best are better than Torquay at theirs, but Torquay are remarkably consistent in their solidity.’

‘Don't forget we outplayed Torquay Utd in the JPT’

I think majority of the comments are fair, and they aren't over doing their optimism - None more so than many on here will! 8/

I think we will beat them over two legs, especially as the second leg is a Plainmoor. Put in two performances like the one v Crewe and second half of yesterday we can win both legs and be on our way to our second home! :scarf:

Re: End of Season evening of intoxication.

The confusion is people saying it's after the Hereford match. IT IS NOT AFTER THE HEREFORD MATCH! It is the Friday after - 11th! It was originally planned for after Hereford - until we decided it would be better on the Friday as the Saturday after was already booked.

That's where the confusion lies.. It is going ahead - People have bought tickets.
