Hemel Hempstead v Torquay F.A Trophy
Well now that I have a commentary I almost wish I didn't. Sounds like 10-man Hemel are all over us at the moment. Good grief.

Nope, no commentary. Of course I can get Birmingham vs WBA on Gulls Player. Oh well, somebody tell me what happens.

I see on Twitter today they're running a contest to give away a copy of Football Manager. So that's something. I imagine I'm ineligible what with the whole living on the wrong side of the planet thing. And I think you have to be on Facebook too and, well, I stand by my position that Facebook is evil. But somebody will win something and at least the club is trying something.

Well if you already have a yellow...don't be an idiot. Pretty simple really.A Realist wrote:Hargreaves not impressed and says that McDonald was sent off for "swiping the corner flag".
Petty from the ref to be sure but don't give him the chance.

Who is this ng gull of whom you speak?brucie wrote:ng gull - the only idiot is you.
Never our fault. We outplay everybody, we're the greatest team in all the land but we never win because its always those dastardly refs fault. They're all out to get the mighty Torquay United. Hate to break it to you, nobody's out to get us. Nobody cares about us.
But happy new year to you. Miserable internet cranks make life so much more entertaining.

The more things change...we can keep blaming lousy officials (and heaven knows they probably are lousy) but no other team seems to get players sent off on a regular basis like this. We have a team of idiots.

Well I don't even know if the club has a Facebook page as I would never go near Facebook under any circumstance. But as someone who spends entirely too much time on Twitter I will say that the club's efforts there are pretty poor. Honestly being able to follow the club on Twitter was one of the primary reasons I, an avowed social media hater, finally caved and joined Twitter. And the club's not giving me much there. I ended up making a TUFC Twitter list to try to get the type of info from other sources that I'd be expecting to get from the club itself. Seems it would be such an easy way to engage with potential customers. Obviously they don't care to engage with me as I'm never going to see a tweet that inspires me to get on a plane and fly across an ocean to see a game. But there have to be ways to use those social media outlets to bring a few more local folks to a game.

Commentators and random twitter persons seem to think it's a knee injury for Young. Doesn't sound good.forevertufc wrote:Thigh I think, Briscoe's gone up front with Bowman, and Richards on for Yoeman.

Sounds like we're all over them now. Should've scored at least three times. Actually scored zero times.

Got mine yesterday but haven't had a chance to look at it yet as I've been busy watching basketball and that other kind of football. Does the Sermanni update say he lost his USA job because Abby Wambach is an evil, washed-up crybaby? It should say that.

So when's the draw for the next round?
I've always wanted to ask that but this is the first cup game we're going to win since I signed up here.

So we're starting pretty near our first-choice 11. And we sprung for an overnight stay last night. So there's no way we could possibly fail to win this game. Right?
