From some Argyle fans I asked on twitter:

"Meh, bang average. Better than he thinks he is."

"If he gets his fitness right he'll be great for conference. His legs may let him down- more so than his ability."

Durrell Berry

Argyle fans didn't seem too bothered to see him leave in the summer: http://www.pasoti.co.uk/talk/viewtopic. ... rry+leaves

Agree that he'd surely be a better option than Tonge though. Do we reckon CH wants two RBs or just really wants rid of Tonge?

This won't be good for Richards' confidence either...

Can easily see Hawley scoring again. You would've thought we'd know how to deal with him better than any other team...

Why have a midfielder in defence ffs?!?!
He's not even a big midfielder, and I'm pretty sure he was a striker until fairly recently in his career. Doesn't help that Pearce has struggled too though, and the full-backs were never likely to offer much support.

Is Briscoe up front with Bowman or is it Ajala?

Torquay United v Woking - Tuesday 16th September - 7.45pm

I think this is the sort of game that we'll look back on at the end of the season and say it was a crucial three points.

Weren't at our best tonight but found a way to win and it'll be a further boost to morale to have got a late winner. Atmosphere was better than it's been in a while.

I did feel like we lacked options from the bench who could genuinely change the game; Hargreaves brought Cameron on and that was all he could really do as although Bowman and O'Achie struggled at times Yeoman wouldn't have been any better. I think a loan striker wouldn't go amiss, funds permitting...

Now 7-0, Prynn with his hat-trick. Maybe a Prem club will come in for him one day... ;-)

Matt's posting updates on twitter. It's currently 6-0 to us (Prynn 2, Melson, Hancox, Odofin, Buckle).

You mean that match where, aged barely 17, he made his first professional appearance at short notice to play among a side he's been with less than a month? Yeah, it's a real head scratcher, that.

Matt.
You mean "barely 17" as in "four years older than 17"? Strange way of looking at players...

Pre Season Friendly: Torquay v Walsall

I agree with TauntonGull in that Cruise and particularly Tonge are the weak spots. Tonge was awful in the first half and I'm not convinced that Thompson can be converted to a right-back.

Hargreaves obviously thought Cruise wasn't up to it last season and he's clearly not any better now, so I'd be surprised if he's offered anything.

Ajala was good again and would be an excellent addition, particularly if Chapell leaves. Not impressed by Baker-Richardson on the other wing.

If I was Hargreaves I'd also try to shift Harding to make room for another holding midfielder to play alongside Young. The full-back positions are definitely the priority though.
