Billy Bodin

Ha ha I've never been an I told you so after the event, I used to be the person who told you all the inside information. I've forgotten more than you will ever know.
Billy got slaughtered on here for lack of form and nobody knew Damien Davey was forcing him to play when he had ruptured his cruciate, he looked at his scans and told him he had nothing wrong with him and it was all in his head. It wasn't until he got a second opinion that it come to light You don't become an awful player over night and I'm so pleased he is now proving people wrong as he is a very talented footballer.

Billy Bodin

I haven't posted for a while as I lost the love for Torquay, seeing our club making bad decision after bad decision hurt me. But moving on how good does Billy Bodin look. The boy was made to play for us when he had a cruciate injury which was mid diagnosed by Damien Davey. They injected him with cortisone and made him play. But everyone got on his case and slaughtered him when nobody knew the real loss of form. It took a year out of the game to recover but now rovers are reaping the rewards and billy and manse are possibly on the verge of two back to back promotions.

Oneil Odofin - starter this season?

Scott Brehaut wrote:Supergulls would disagree with you - he doesn't rate Odofin whatsoever.
Your right there Scott, he has all the physical attributes to succeed in the game, but there's one problem ..... He is not a very good footballer ! He's clumsy as hell and gives away pens like nobody I have ever seen. For a big guy he lacks aggression and he doesn't read the game at all. I watched him play against reading for the youth team and it was the worst performance I've seen from a centre half. He gave away two pens through being clumsy and just diving in when he only had to jockey the player. Then he was at fault for another goal after playing an awful back pass. People may say you can coach him and turn him into a decent player I say you can make a donkey a racehorse.

Conference Play-Off final

Well pleased for mansell he definitely made the right choice in leaving us last year and he got a pay rise, we could have done with him this year covering every blade of grass and letting Luke Young play. His experience and knowledge would have helped in there instead we had to put up with Courtney Richards who couldn't lace mansells boots.

Hutchings released

Only two teams in the championship are part time and the first division is a mix between full and part time. There are a lot of teams within 45 mins from Edinburgh, Alloa and Livingston are very close.

Chris Hargreaves services?

Scott Brehaut wrote: I hope you'll be man enough to come on here and say you were wrong if he does do the business with his own team.
I wouldn't have it any other way Scott, but I will be surprised if that's the case. Although none of us have a crystal ball we will just have to wait and see although his record so far has been nothing short of appalling.

Chris Hargreaves services?

Rich I can't wait until next season until the messiah with his own team fails miserably and then churns out excuse after excuse and blames everything apart from himself. He's a very poor manager who loves himself more than anybody else ever will. I can't believe you have vein taken in by his media spin. Only time will tell but I'm sure this time next year I will be saying I told you so.

What a load of rubbish from Hargreaves that they cannot afford to keep Parcell, just do what you have done in the past you numpty, loan him out and get his wages paid by someone else. Also if your telling me that Oneil Odofin is ready to play but Parcell isn't I can't stop laughing. He couldn't do 10 kick ups

Have any of you watched Oneil Odofin, he may have the physical attributes but I'm telling you that lad cannot play football and is reckless. You think Downes makes mistakes wait until we have to rely on Oneil every week.

What's Gone Wrong

tommyg wrote:I disagree with that Supergulls. Pearce was crocked in pre-season and so Hargreaves went with Downes and Angus who played well together in the early months of the campaign. Pearce has had plenty of opportunities to stake a regular claim in the side due to injuries and suspensions but simply hasn't taken his chance. He just doesn't look like he wants to be here in my opinion. And he was only ever a stand-in captain last season when Mansell didn't play.
You can disagree all you like I know facts what has gone on a what has been said to Pearce and I can guarantee he has been lied too and made promises that then haven't materialised. I'm not going with my opinion or what I think might have happened I know the truth. I agree with your point that he got injured pre season but the player was told on numerous occasions that once he was fit he would be straight back into the team.

What's Gone Wrong

Pearce is lacking in confidence that has come from constant snubs from Hargreaves who has tried to force him out. How has a league one player two years ago gone to a player that can't get a game for a struggling conference side. And not forgetting he has had some fantastic performances for us which lead to him receiving the player of the year award, as the saying goes you don't become a bad player overnight and it's not as image isn't on his side ashes still young, this situation in poor form is down to low morale due to miss management which has resulted in being constantly overlooked and also he lost the captaincy.

What's Gone Wrong

I think the players can prove they can play at this level when their confidence was high they went on a good unbeaten run. But with the board making bad decisions which lead to a frustrated manager who has definitely been affected mentally at having to work within constraints that has then led to training ground bust ups and crazy selections to a manager falling out with individuals and then followed by the dressing room leading too more punishments for players because results are not going our way, which has then led to even lower confidence and a I don't give a toss attitude. Can we see the way this has spiralled out on control.

Goodbye Hargreaves

MidDevon wrote:....not 100% sure we have the whole story with Tongue, his performance at Kidderminster was possibly the worse I have seen by a Torquay player ever, as close to gross misconduct as you can see on a football pitch. It all seemed very strange that he "disappeared" after that match.

Ive been told he is sitting out his contract, but that was just from another supporter
Why let the truth get in the way of a good story Jesus Christ who makes this stuff up. Tonge has had surgery on a knee problem and is now back in rehab.
