Season ticket renewed!
And this year I don't begrudge the money given to the club.

Squad 2024/25
I hope so.
Out of all last season's team I think he has the most talent and potential.
I'd like to see him for a year under a new manager and coach to see if he can improve the more physical and running parts of his game.

Salisbury won the play off.
Should be a good away trip next season.
But probably mid week.

Winner of Chatham v Enfield play off will be in NLS next season.
I don’t think we’ve ever played Chatham but recall going to Enfield for an FA Cup match when we were 4th division and they were a good non league team.

I think you'll find the the vocal minority are a few people slagging of TUST at every opportunity.

Do you know what is contained in the NDAs and do you know how much money TUST have currently and how much they could raise in a share issue?RobinStubbsHero wrote: ↑01 May 2024, 18:22 All of which is absolutely true. But, they haven't got the money, and have got a publicity seeking mouthpiece who is not following the non disclosure agreements

That’s a strange comment to make about a very professionally run organisation, with membership of about a third our average attendance (much higher than most trusts) and with the interest of the club and its fans foremost.
I really don’t understand why a few people feel the need to be so negative.

Play Off final is Braintree v Worthing.
Maidstone lost to Worthing today so will be in our league again next season and I would imagine will be favourites along with Boreham Wood to go up.

Torquay United v H&W Sat 20th Apr 3pm
Excellent performance. Could easily have scored more. Credit to Havant for giving it a go too. Nice to see two teams attack.
Good to see Booth play so well and the two youngsters come on and fit in well.
And a word for the ref. He was excellent. Best this season I think.
Not sure why no added time first half. Should have been at least 3 minutes but no one held the board up and the ref blew on 45 minutes.

A deserved win. We played some good football in the first half and battled well to keep them out after their early second half goal. Good thing they missed that open goal though.
Another to add to the list of most memorable matches I’ve been to in 45 years of watching Torquay.

TUST is the fans representatives part of a consortium. Most of the money I assume will come from elsewhere but some will be required for place on the board. Other trusts have raised more than this and very quickly.Chill wrote: ↑16 Apr 2024, 12:36 That would be like being told you weren't going to be charged for murder but manslaughter instead, and then finding out you were going to share a cell with Hannibal Lecter!
We know that a million a season is barely enough to keep our heads above water, so how the hell are the trust gonna manage on their ten thousand a year or whatever it is.
We have to start being practical!
Speaking of practical, whoever is top bidder at the moment seems to be checking every nook and cranny at Plainmoor and has rather a tight grip on things, and I would surmise that they will also have a tight grip on their money also.

Taunton Town v Torquay United Tues 16 April KO 19.45.
If we beat Taunton we will have 50 points and better goal difference.
If Taunton beat us & Weston they will have 48.
Hemel have 49.
Whatever the result on Taunton v Hemel one will have less than 50 points.
A draw at Taunton & win over Havant will see us safe.
Defeat to Taunton and we need Taunton, Hemel or Eastbourne to drop points. It would be out of our hands.

Staying Up - Relegation Battle
The extra games in this week’s fixtures haven’t really fallen well for us.
Taunton & Eastbourne both play Weston who are one of only five teams with nothing to play for.
Taunton have had the same 3 day break as us before we play Tuesday.
They play Weston Thursday but Weston will also have played Tuesday so no disadvantage to Taunton from their many postponement.
If Taunton beat us and Weston we will need them to beat Hemel on Saturday – who will have had a week off while Taunton played two extra games. And by then Taunton will be safe so nothing to play for. Plus Hemel have just appointed a new manager.
