**23rd March v Hampton & Richmond** - Big Protest Day

The Spires school is always visible on the highlights, could we perhaps arrange for a very large "Osborne Out banner" to be draped either from the school or from a scissor lift so that it is visible on all footage of the game(s) on all highlight reels. Do we have anyone on here with access to a scissor lift?

Certainly worth attempting for addition to AOB

**23rd March v Hampton & Richmond** - Big Protest Day

Right, we all need to be pro-active and do something more for the cause than simply typing discontent on a forum and moaning that TUST aren't venomous enough etc.

23rd March, Osborne OUT protest day. (all those with an immediate knee jerk fearful and meek response to this is, "but without him we won't survive," that is precisely the mindset he thrives on and how he gets away with his Modus Operandi time and again. Continue being grateful and in a few years we will not have a football club or indeed a ground to play in, therefore zero chance of launching a Phoenix club to grow into the existing ground in time)

*****HE WILL NOT EVER BUILD US A NEW STADIUM*****

-Argyle and City fans are currently being contacted to come and support our cause and shine as much light as possible on Osborne. (Argyle don't currently have a game that day and City are away)
-In addition, the goal is to get reporters (Local & National) on the scene to record the event and further raise awareness.

- Solutions
- Protesting isn't enough, we need to inject rocket fuel into the future funding for whatever scenario we are left with when Osborne is gone. TUST have raised some cash and have monthly member contributions but this in it's current form will never suffice. Phoenix Club - CROWDFUNDING/Share scheme? If I/we set up a Crowdfunding or similar page, we will need a selection of dedicated supporters to be involved in the process in order to ensure no one person has control of this. The best way to launch this would be through TUST
(please if your only reaction to this is to be negative and pour cold water on it, keep it to yourself, be patient and look forward to saying "i told you so")
The fundraising appeal needs to go out across the football landscape nationally and perhaps internationally as well. This will need to be a combined effort in raising that awareness for all who want to get involved. Local business that benefit from away supporters visiting may also want to be involved.

- Funding raised - I suggest that once the ball is rolling, close liaison with TUST is required in order to add balance and experienced heads, and direction to their existing cause. The goal is to add some £ backing to enable a much more solid footing in our battle with Osborne. If funds are raised and TUST are still reluctant to move openly against the current owner then we would need to re-evaluate the next steps and go from there.

- Phoenix club? with additional funding in place, is the best scenario to set up a Phoenix club now in readiness for the inevitable and try to arrange a groundshare with Buckland? (We want Osborne out, if he stays or goes, eventually the club in it's current form dies)

TUST - Show Venom and a backbone

TorquayUnited wrote: 10 Feb 2024, 21:20 Please no. Not this nonsense again.

TUST couldn't even afford to pay the groundsman a week's money last time they tried something.

Went back into their hole thankfully. After 30 seconds with Osbourne 4 years ago.
Interesting choice of words and sentiment displayed here. Genuine supporter or on the Osborne Payroll?

TUST - Show Venom and a backbone

https://pasoti.co.uk/threads/torquay-un ... 961/page-3

From PASOTI:

Meanwhile on their forum they're arguing amongst themselves about what to do...

TUST - Show Venom and a backbone - TorquayFans.com | Torquay United Fans Forum

Shows there is some fight in them. But its so small that even on their 'protest thread' it quickly comes back to the almost irrelevant subject of 'on pitch' matters...

...YOUR CLUB IS BEING STOLEN, WAKE THE **** UP!!

It calls to mind those lines in War of the Worlds (I only have Jeff Wayne's version to draw reference from) when the earth is about to be invaded by Martians...

"It seems totally incredible to me now that everyone spent that evening as though it were just like any other. From the railway station came the sound of shunting trains, ringing and rumbling
Softened almost into melody by the distance. It all seemed so safe and tranquil"

TUST - Show Venom and a backbone

WestLondonYellow wrote: 10 Feb 2024, 23:47 Calling for more solid stance equals slagging them off?
Surely I’m showing faith in TUST potential?

Your responses are typical and part of reason why we will have no club to support in the next few years, all so weak. Osborne knows this.

wow, yes you're so right, i guess this country was built on attitudes like yours, the industrial revolution, the railways, the bridges, they all had the exact same, "can't be done" attitude as you.

Make a statement of intent and come out fighting against the ownership, call for a united front and galvanise the fanbase, the community and the media against Osborne.

Johnson latest drivel

Sesimbra wrote: 08 Feb 2024, 17:50 So the Manager is proud of his team losing in a part-time league and with only 1 win this year. The apathy behind that remark speaks volumes of GJ's present expectations. It does raise the question *Is there a hidden agenda?"
How can he motivate the players when he is satisfied with a loss? Another question "Has he given up or is he just seeing his time out before he decides to retire?".
The motives of the owner are well known. What are the motives of the manager?
*Is there a hidden agenda?" we have to stop pussyfooting around this issue and being afraid to take a solid stance. there is no question there is an agenda and it isn't hidden.

"The motives of the owner are well known. What are the motives of the manager? " They are aligned 100%, this is why Johnson is still in a job here, he is Osbornes method of delivering failure. The early success, it appears now, as a ruse to get people onside, cause confusion regarding the true motives and subsequently cause division and confusion in the fan base right now.

Going, forward, the new boys Arkell and Booth both look strong.

Add these two to players currently on the books, namely..........

Halstead

Moxey

McGavin
Lapslie
Stobbs
Dawson
Hall

Jarvis

In my opinion, those ten are all good enough to see us promoted. Add in one from the likes of Archer, Martin, Marshall, Tomlinson, Ash, Jenkins-Davies and Collins and we are definitely good enough to make the play offs, from our current position. If we could put out that strength of team in the play offs, however unlikely, I am confident we would beat any team in the NLS. Yet again, two more injuries sustained on Tuesday so it's hard to be confident this team will ever play together, but if it happens I firmly believe we will still be promoted.
 your predictions every week.

Wouldn’t it be something if the attendance was zero?
I bet this has never happened
Torquay could be a world record setter if it’s never happened.

Expecting to get hammered for saying this so bring it on

Wake up boys and girls and finally accept you are a very poor non league team who will never ever return to the EFL. You should be pushing the Green Slime all the way to challenge for automatic promotion but you are heading to towards the Southern League. Will you stay full time in an even lower pub league....your description, not mine.
I see the life and soul of the party has decided to grace us tonight, Friends all busy so came on here to play.
We know how bad we are, you may think you are rubbing it in but honestly, nothing you say is news to us.
