Morecambe away rings a bell, leading 2-1 and then we handle clearly in the box and nothing given! I guess they even up over the season, ^.^londongull63 wrote:Having watched the BBC sport video of our second disallowed goal at Oxford (the first does look just offside), where you can freeze frame when Rene squares the ball, what a shocking decision it was. Eunan is clearly not in front of the ball, which he has to be to be offside regardless of where Oxford players are. All the more shocking as the linesman must have been right in line, as Rene had two strikes there was loads of time, Eunan was virtually standing still and no runners had to be contended with and the linesman wouldn't have had to look ahead from ball at time it was passed to man miles ahead or across. 2-0 and demoralised Oxford would have been beaten as we'd probably have been more in control than in the first half before they ended up gettin their lucky corner goal, which also has a bit of backing into Bobby. So perhaps for our good fortune before like at Barnet, it's deserted us this time.
Anyway, although some might say we've been "lucky" to win games just because the other team might have had more than the ball, can anyone remember any really bad ref's decisions in our favour that gained us 2 points?

Re: CONGRATULATIONS TUFC!!!!
Incredible acheivement so far, my head is working out all possible scenario's. I always say its better to have the points in the bag, and we do. I feel our destiny for auto's will be 80% decided come 9.40pm next Tuesday. Shrews have 2 testing matches, whilst as mentioned Crawley have some local derbies. Lets not be downbeat, we are 2nd and like most fans getting 4pts from Easter would probably have been taken prior to the 2 matches. As for the final match I would prefer Hereford rather than Accie, all is not lost but we do need 3pts on Saturday I think to reallly put the pressure for the Tuesday matches.

Re: Eight games to go...
Isnt it great. What great times being a Gulls supporter. My theory is simple, forget about the rest concentrate on our game. I personally would take play-offs now(thats not saying we cant finish in 3rd, as Shrewsbury will finish 2nd). Crawley on paper have an easy run-in but is playing lower sides a good thing at this time of year, they are either fighting for their lives staying up or looking to play for a new contract. As for the playoffs, yes they are a lottery but there is always one team that goes into in real good form. Something tells me that the playoff places will comprise of Torquay(sorry), Southend, Oxford and CREWE. But if we beat Crewe at Plainmoor then it will be Cheltenham in the playoffs instead of Crewe.

Only Oxford have beat them at the CG, only 1 goal conceaded in the last 12 home matches. Feeling depressed, then dont just look at the table we are 2nd. As i said the job was done last Tuesday. This was always a game we didnt count in the run in. The run in starts Saturday. 8 games to go. 6 points for playoffs(2 wins easy), 15 for auto. Southend losing was massive

Re: swindon town v torquay united - 20/3/2012
As previously stated,a defeat wont be a disaster tomorrow night. We did the hard work in my opinion against Rotherham(is that another manager we have got sacked this season, albeit a game later). I dont want to appear negative, but resting Lathrope Tuesday might be the best approach so he can be fully fit for Saturday and the remainder of the season. If we can come away injury free, red card free and lose that would be fine. But........this kind of pre-match talk happended before the Crawley match and look what happened there...This is Torquay. But it will be typical for it to go to the 93rd minute against Hereford to decide our fate(98th minute if no police dogs get involved)

Re: Rotherham United v Torquay United 13/3/12
Ling is becoming a legend. His post comments are said in truth. Thus, he says it how it is. If the team plays bad he says they are poor. If they win they are playing good. Basically he is not a bull shitter, unlike Buckle. I am so pleased Bevan walkled out/left because there is no way we would be in the position we are in now. COYY

Re: Torquay United v Aldershot - 6/3/12
Will certainly be a tough one, but then every game remaining will be too. A drew wont be a disaster as long as we follow it up with a win on Saturday.
