agreed. Last season was a free hit for us. Getting as close as we did given our relatively small budget and having to build a squad from the ground up was more than I think any of us had a right to expect. Yes, the football wasn't always great, but it was nice to have the club. Aim for 25/26 is surely winning the division, and I would hope (demand?) that this is the expectation that Paul Wotton is being set. We are in a far stronger position now to bring in the quality that we were lacking at time last season (winger? tough-tackling midfielder? ANOTHER STRIKER THAT SCORES OCCASIONALLY POOR OLD CODY COOKE MUST BE KNACKERED?) and I think the positivity through the club will keep the attendances well above 3,000 *unless* we're struggling. If we're in a title race again I could see that average creeping above 4,000 by season's end.Southampton Gull wrote: 11 May 2025, 19:02 On this seasons income alone we've exited the cva AND just missed automatic promotion. Crowds won't suddenly diminish unless we show no ambition whatsoever and I seriously don't expect anything less than promotion objectives from the Bryn members. There's nothing wrong with looking locally but equally nothing wrong looking further afield.

Transfer discussion 25/26
Quite sad to see Mussa leave (I mean, I was his sponsor, lol) but you'd have to assume that he was on pretty decent money and he hasn't quite hit the heights we were hoping for. We arguably already have the "talented but slighly unreliable playmaker" role sorted with Matt Jay and Jordan Young still contracted. Wish him all the success - I love a player who tries things, even if it frustrates some people (see also: Armani Little)

The Drama of the next 49 Days in the NLS
we should win the game with as many goals as possible and see where the chips falls. If Truro manage to beat St. Albans (who need to win, remember) and win the title, fair play to them. Despite having beaten them twice in the league, it's failing against Chersham, Slough, Chelmsford etc that will have cost us.
What we can't afford to do is keep one proverbial eye on Truro and then slip up.
Do our job - win our game
What happens to the table then is beyond our control and it's therefore pointless us worrying about it
(anyway, I think we'll win 3-1)

Chelmsford could have a big say in this title. After us they have Boreham Wood (away), Worthing (home), Dorking (away). Getting a win on saturday would be huge for us.desperado wrote: 16 Feb 2025, 11:20
every time I look we seem to have 4 of the next 5 away ! We just have to go to Chelmsford and try and win the game , too many draws will be a killer.

nobody has any managerial success until...they have managerial success, lol.Southampton Gull wrote: 17 Feb 2025, 17:18 I don't disagree with you but just making the point that as of yet he's achieved no managerial success at all. I'm more than happy with the progress made at the club but yet to be convinced he's the right man to take us up a couple of levels and back to the promised land. I'd love nothing more than for him to do it and stick two fingers up to me![]()
I don't know if he'll ultimately be the right man to take us back to the league, but I'd say he's the right man for this season. Coming into a team with one contracted player (who then got banned, remember- yikes), at a club that had been on its arse for a while, he was a perfect man to come in and build a squad to build upon based upon an uncertainty about revenues. He brought in fit-for-purpose players, wtihout breaking the budget. Sure, some of these players are not likely to be earth shattering in the division above, but if you'd said at the beginning of the season that we'd be fighting for the title, I'd have bitten your hand off.
I think it says something about how the club is being run that when it became apparent that gates were going to be strong - and therefore bring with it a larger budget - we went out there and signed players who have elevated the team. Of course, the credit for that goes to the owners, but Wotton has been a steady hand from the off. If we had found ourselves looking at another relegation battle, would the club have pushed the boat out a bit to bring in Jordan Young? I doubt it.
It remains to be seen whether he's going to be the manager long-term, but for now I'm very happy with him.

To be fair we didn't know what to expect from Sinclair Armstrong either. These sorts of players can be anything.
Sometimes it's Sinclair. Other times it's Rob Street.
Still, he seems a big lad and clearly we've been crying out for somebody to ease the pressure on Cooke a bit.

New Streaming Deal
My comment is for international viewers. Outside of the UK, every single NL game is being broadcast on NLTV, regardless of whether the blackout rules appy. In NLS/N they've decided to adhere to that rule even in the case of international broadcast - and when the rule does not apply (international break, midweek games) they are ony showing 'select' games at our level.brucie wrote: 04 Sep 2024, 22:11 They arnt ignoring the rule - it seems that its a policy decision not broadcast south and north games within the window. As the games tare not streamed in the first place it would suggest that its not finacially viable to do so.
You couldnt watch any national league games either within the uefa window as they are not broadcast in this country.
Of course it is easy to navigate tis via the vpm/firestick/iptv method. As has been mentioned should we get promoted it would be possible to view all games hone and away.
the issue for me is that the blackout rules are designed to protect attendances at those 3pm games but in the NL, with the games bring broadcast internationally, there is a way to find them without paying for them, which is problematic as means clubs could lose revenue

it doesn't affect NLTV streaming for NL games - they've decided to ignore that rule for National League only ,which was the same last time we were in that division. For NLS/N they've said that they'll adhere to the blackout rules, so the games you have been able to see have been because they are outside of those windows. as I detailed in my previous post, Enfield, Farnborough, Chesham and Chippenham have been broadcast so far. Enfield and Farnborough were both on Saturdays, but before the Premier League started - which is when that Article 48 kicks in (because the rule is related to the percentage of teams in the top 2 divisions playing at 3pm)slay1373 wrote: 04 Sep 2024, 14:54 So, I live in Saudi Arabia and use IPTV out there without VPN.
At moment they are streaming every other TUFC match, currently in Croatia and watch last nights game.
The Saturday 3pm blackout doesn’t affect NLTV streaming for those of us overseas. I watched one match through their streaming and got a refund because there was a technical issue, but about 10 mins after I bought the streaming for the game, it came on my IPTV Non-League Channel, so now stick to that.
It seems DAZN and NLTV are giving each NLS and NLN alternate streaming days. But have always stated they are gearing to all games being available.
I will reiterate, the Saturday UEFA rule DOES NOT apply to streaming for those overseas.
So, you have only seen the games that were being broadcast on NLTV. For example, the last two saturday games - Dorking and Aveley - were not broadcast by NLTV and therefore would not have been available to you, regardless of which moody IPTV provider you use.
This is why I put up the list of games that could reasonably be expected to streamable, based on a: Uefa Rule 48 blackout windows, and b: the assumption Torquay's game would be chosen for broadcast when that windo does not apply.
