budegull1954 wrote: 02 May 2018, 13:26 Never listened to this podcast before - very impressed, great to hear the views of real fans rather than journos! Hope it isn't the last podcast. Agree about Sam Chaney - I would have kept him on and he would certainly know his way round the NLS next season. Contrary to what you guys were saying he did play a lot of games for Whitehawk and apparently did vey well, scoring a goal recently. He's still to reach his potential, really hope he does when he finds a new club.
Have to admit when Ryan said he hadn't played much I disagreed with him - but wasn't confident enough to verbalise it! 😂

This Summer is certainly going to be busy...

The last pod of the season (and maybe the last ever!)

This week we talk over Owers' retained list, my own resignation to Owers being in charge next season and look back over a season of misery...

Thanks to anyone who has listened, contributed and commented on the podcast this season. It has been a blast interacting with fans this season, even if we don't always agree!

Also, try to get a sponsor next year...I suggest Boots and Laces (new ownership) but surely Cowlick's Creamery are already handing over money considering the number of times you mentioned them.
:} I wish! Fallon will come good one day.

Thank you very much for your kind words. We're by no means professionals but do think the podcast had found a nice little audience, if nothing else!

Thanks for listening!

No game in two weeks means that Ryan and I preview the Maidstone game in depth and have a good look at Dowling's contribution so far after Ryan's appearance on a Bristol City podcast. Feel free to check it out!

Maidstone are in horrible form... any chance of a result for our boys?

Jesus! I know Nico is still a hot topic around here, but what was he thinking if that is the case? I hope we have relegation release clauses...

Fair enough, we really weren't sure on a few of them. We tried to do the research but some of the signing announcements are decidedly cryptic when it comes to contract lengths. Unfortunately, I am pretty sure both Pittman and Clarke have deals to the end of next season (unless there is a relegation break clause). Pittman in particular must go down as one of Nico's biggest flops.

You are, of course, correct! When we win games people come and watch... but would that be the same even in the NLS? I genuinely don't know...

Hello all. Your comments on last week's episode make it in the the intro for this one!

Talking points include: Gowling's injury
Who to play RWB?
Who to partner Brett?
AND IS THE GREAT ESCAPE ON?!

As a side note, we're hoping to get TUST's chairman on next week, is there anything specific you'd like to ask him?

Thanks all! (The one who chuckles) :scarf:

Was your new year's resolution to listen to more podcasts? 🤔

The first Talking Torquay of 2018 has a fair few topics to discuss. We start with the Christmas period then get an insight in to what we can expect from Alex Fletcher from Plymouth Herald journalist David Munday.

We also discuss the Carlton Cole rumours that were doing the rounds on social media last night. So yeah, plenty to sink your teeth in to!

Eastleigh v Torquay United - Boxing Day 2017

We need 4 points from our double header with them over the festive period, imo.

*Shameless Plug* On the podcast me and Ryan preview this match around 15 minutes from the end of this. Chris Hargreaves also somewhere in the middle if anyone is interested...

Christmas special this week, right off the back of a humbling 4-0 defeat is always good.

It's a good'n as we hear from Chris Hargreaves on the trials of football over the festive period and hear all about Christmas in the Hargreaves household. Let us know what you think!
