Worth a watch on the costs of running a football club. The one up the road.
They charge a higher ticket price than others in L1 becasue they have to and the fans owning it, generally put up with it.

All the arguments against are poorly thought out. It costs more boo hoo hoo ! No s*** sherlock.
So do all the things we buy in goods and services in every aspect of our lives.
Still no one coming up with an alternative, you must all long for the day for a return to someone else footing the bill, and all that that entailed.

It was being sold too cheap! £498 is still £21.65! For both of you! The whinging over a couple of quid on here and especially FB is remarkable.
You run a business, what do you do if you’re running at a loss? Put your prices up so you are not running at a loss.
Chairman’s chat and the transparency not provided before. Despite all that went on last season, we still ran at a loss. £300k
If the fans are not footing the bill. Who is? No one has answered that yet.

It can be justified because they were too cheap. I hadn’t realised the prices hadn’t increased in 3 seasons but the first of those 3 years there was high inflation (relatively)
Sustainably run club, everyone needs to put their shoulder to the wheel. If the fans are not funding it, who do you think should? Seriously, what do you propose to be the alternative? Or maybe you would accept a lesser team for a lesser price. I’d rather have the ambition for an extra couple of quid, which will buy you half a coffee.

If we all want a succesful club then without a sugar daddy, we are all going to have to pay for it.
Comparisons to other clubs in other leagues needs to come with an explanation of any losses they incur and if they have a benefactor.
Season ticket in the bench, £16 a game. You get feck all for £16 these days so an afternoon out for that is pretty good id say.
If the increase is too much to stomach, dont go, but stop the moaning. You obviously havent been paying attention to chairmans chat amongst other things.

Sustainably run by fans. No one is pocketing any profit here. The team on the pitch is paid for by the fans at the turnstile and you get what you pay for.

I want a competitive team on the pitch, doesnt really matter which league but you would think a competitive team would naturally rise over the long term. I think we are now on the right track and am looking forward to the journey, however long it takes.

I would take WJD, blew hot and cold but expected for a youngster. Only 20, already played 70 games at this level.
No to some of the others mentioned. Wynter, Angus, Booth
Lapslie I would, he was one of the better players in a crap team so if he is recovered, would imagine an improved output in a rejuventated team and club as a whole. Just a slight concern on injury record (31 and 34 games respectively each season he was here) but it certainly appeared around those times of 'no lapslie - no pointies' when he was missing.

TUFC Club Lottery launched
Yes, did it. Whats a tenner these days, pint and a packet of crisps. The current pot is £1100+ which is ,maybe £2.5k to the club every month. Thats a half decent player and you might win a grand in the process.
What is clear though with these fund raising schemes (share issue) is that there are alot of people willing to fund various activities now that the club is owned by fans and there is transparency in that ownership. I wouldnt have done it before this season.
Think i heard in previous chairmans chats there was some sort of membership scheme in the running for next season. Will probably do that too.

Decent player (Craske) but not too difficult to understand why he was left out recently with Palmer also available and a need to score goals for the other 4 spots on the bench. Defence isnt our problem.
Featured in 29 games this season according to google so not constantly crocked as some may think and has value in being able to fill a variety of positions. Would be surprised if we didnt offer him another year.

So home advantage means nothing then. Fingers crossed for Maidstone, purely for the journey and plastic pitch.

Agree, the playing side isnt ready for the step up and neither probably are the finances yet in the sustainable model. Another year of getting people used to coming to plainmoor watching a largely winning team and enjoying whats on offer may make up for the stiffer test in the league above should we get there and testing poeples will to turn up when it gets tougher. Look at Yeovils attendances dropping this year for a respectable mid table finish.
From that list id probably keep Hasani and Carson (under contract) and youd like to think young players can get better but midfield is the area to focus on for sure.
The football could be a little more exciting but PW has worked with the limitations that everyone knows about. Ive enjoyed the season, everyone has ownership.
