Potential Buyers

The TUST bid was the Westcott consortium plus TUST fundraised investment, with a future exit plan for the TUST itself. If the consortium alone is the preferred bidder then it would seem they do not need the further funds from TUST to complete the sale, at least enough to satisfy the creditors.

As an expat, some profiles on the announced names would be nice.

MOTM - Slough

Easy to slate the team and miss decent contributions on days like that. Beyond the top 2 who were well above the average. I thought Craske changed the balance of the defence and opened up the wing we scored both goals from. Lapslie really can go unnoticed when his partner in WJD is so completely absent that we get overrun, but without him we wouldn’t get out of our own third.

1. Halstead
2. Ash
3. Craske
4. Lapslie

OK so not Izale McLeod, but should we spend at all?

Kind of expected that sort of outcome Really. Since my OP I've been battling a mental dilemma over whether we actually want to spend any money in January at all. We aren't going down (there are some far worse teams already fighting it out) and on recent views we aren't going up.

Is it time to consolidate the cash balance and plan our moves for the summer? January is always overinflated price wise, and a loan signing is in my opinion now flogging a dead horse.

Would be interested to know What people think re this as i think if we spend big now we blow next seasons budget.

Some of you think that what she does is a valid career, I happen to disagree and have said as much. Yes, it's a bit silly, and yes, it's probably grossly unfair on Shell, but if you take the time to have a think about what I'm saying it becomes obvious that A. Its all a bit academic and B. I might just have a point.

This is a football chat board. Grow up and stop spoiling it for the many people who use it appropriately. No more from me on the subject, I suggest you do the same.

Well done to Shell, I'm sure she loves what she does, but let's not pretend that she's a businesswoman because she ha a pair of tweezers and a Twitter account.

Matt.
Alright, let's say we understand What you're saying and it's a debatable point, but Why post it on this site in the first place? Not least the football section. I think it's time you stopped the hate campaign before you do some lasting damage.

Potential New Strikers?

Released by Portsmouth. Exactly What we need but probably a bit on the pricey side.

Re: New home shirt

I get the significance of G, but in my opinion its an awful shirt. An updated twist on the design maybe, but nobody's going to buy it if we release a shirt that looks exactly like one we had 10 years ago. Would be commercial suicide.

I like E, but voted A seeing as they're the only front runners.

Somewhat galling that harrogate draw Hastings, safe passage to round 3 for a non league team. Maybe now we will regret the seeming lack of effort.

Re: Quick one for the referees

I thought if the bodin header is intended for Howe who is offside then the offside should be given. Only exception being that if referee deems there to be an advantage to the opposing team and lets play continue? Not a referee myself I hasten to add!

One of the most frank and open interviews I've read from a player. He didn't have to go to the trouble of highlighting his previous failings and it shows both his integrity and desire to succeed at the club.

Let's be honest, if he hadn't been here before we'd be considering him for the potential non-league gem so many are crying out for. Difficult not to anticipate this as a good signing.

Re: the new kit rears its ugly head again!!

The design itself is not too bad, it was always the craftsmanship on the stripe and badge that gave me the instant reaction of disliking.

No doubt there are practical reasons for it to be this way (cost, comfort, etc). I always intended to get this before I saw the design in light of the competition (???) but for the £40 mark, this one doesn't seem quite worthy.
