A good read....as bad as the referee was on Saturday Niate was lucky to remain on the pitch. He clearly put hands on the ref and him after the Cameron booking and really should have gone for that mindless act. Not his finest day Saturday (too many had similar ones!) but lets try to get a little perspective and draw a line under one bad performance and move forward. Big game Tuesday - lets hope we get the reaction we saw after our last defeat.Roman Gull wrote: ↑03 Mar 2019, 20:11 Evening guys - sorry for the delay on this, I had to make a contributor substitution! Here is the TT match verdict from Sam Druiff on the WSM loss, very frustrating stuff against a team who are better than their league position suggests - well they are when they play us anyway...

A number of reasons (a few of which are listed below!)Midlandgull wrote: ↑09 Feb 2019, 11:01 When we know it will hammer it down why don't we use something similar to what they use at Wimbledon for the tennis?
https://c8.alamy.com/comp/HXDNJF/rain-c ... HXDNJF.jpg
1 - a tennis court is significantly smaller than a football pitch!
2 - It would probably cost more than one of Mr Osbourne's houses.
3 - It would be massively susceptible to the wind and therefore extremely dangerous.
4 - If the water table under the turf is higher than ground level it would have zero effect anyway!
Don't recall Wimbledon being played in February...

I don’t think any was publicly by the club in the summer

Do you know something we don't then?
Still think he could be a massive player for us if he can remain free of injuries.

woking
I see the Woking manager (Dowson) has gone in on his team after their result at the weekend. What reaction comes from this is yet to be seen but I never think it is a good idea naming and criticising individual players publicly and usually creates a divide amongst the group.

I know passion is always high after a defeat but I wonder if Dowson, and Woking as a whole, will come to regret these comments...

Truro City end groundshare
Good news although this leaves it open for them to carry on using Plainmoor if they feel like it. There is no definitive 'end' announced in the article. Surely the league will not allow them to pick and choose as they see fit (and with likely pressure from us to rest the pitch)?CP Gull wrote: ↑04 Jan 2019, 10:17 Seems like they are back at Treyew Road after all!!!! This has been raised before - notably with Masters himself who labelled the suggestion as 'nonsense' (take what you will from that!)

Seating issues
You must have missed the announcement from the club that you no longer have to sit in the allocated seat on the ticket then?WHG wrote: ↑27 Dec 2018, 10:43 Complete twaddle same as Brucie.
Unless they have changed the way they do tickets, every ticket has a seat number on it . Seat C73 is between seat C72 and C74 not hard to work out.
The only problem is stewards telling people 'sit where you want'. This is not surprising considering most of the stewards are from Plymuff. A four syllable answer is above norm for them.
The correct response is ' If it's not busy sit where you want but if someone comes along with a booked seat then I'm afraid you will have to go and sit in the seat it says on your ticket'. Bit too much for them to say though.
You must also be stating those affected are lying when they state the people on the turnstiles were telling those entering the ground they could sit where they liked as long as there was not a season ticket holder sticker on the seat?
It was a real mess yesterday and it is not the first time is it! Two seasons ago we booked seats online for the last game of the season only to find our booked seat numbers were season ticket holders seats so effectively the club sold them twice! The response from the Stewards was to leave the ground and go to the ticket office (and therefore miss much of the game). We had to leave the Bench altogether (as it was a sell out) and move into the away end (which was allocated for home support that day). I have seen so many reports such as this in recent times you would really think the club might be a little more pro-active about it all!
It is great to see the success on the pitch currently but this does not allow them to bury their heads in the sand when it comes to the treatment of its fanbase. If you reserve a seat on a train a ticket goes on the seat to show others it is not free to sit in. If they do not have the capacity to do this then do not offer the service - as it only leads to conflict and upset (as happened massively to many yesterday).
Another truth from the shambles on display off the pitch was the lack of monitoring regarding the capacity of Bristows Bench. It is abundantly clear the club sold more tickets than spaces available for home fans yesterday. This was clear indicated by the hundreds of people having to relocate to the Family stand and also request entry to the Popside.
The club have to wake up quickly if they want the decent crowds the football deserves to return because there was so much ill feeling created yesterday by the mixed messages and half-cock ticketing system in place.

Seating issues
It is not rocket science.
If the club want to offer a pre-booking of seats policy then mark the seats which have already been allocated so that they remain empty for those that have reserved them. If they cannot provide this because of lack of resources then do not offer this as an option.
Detailed above illustrates just how such short sighted approaches currently in place at the club have created much upset across a family which have four generations of supporters. So much so that they may lose that support.
You cannot issue a press release saying you are disposing of the seat allocation on ticket issuing at the turnstiles and then still expect a family of five to (ranging from 92 - 8 in age) to lose the seats they have turned up early to achieve because they have already been reserved with no indication they are not free to anyone else to sit in.
The club need to publically respond to these complaints and put a procedure in place to stop these issues from reoccurring. The fans that have stuck by the club throughout the recent dark days should not be left feeling so unimportant (to the point they don't wish to turn up again) when success on the field is achieved and the numbers attending (a fantastic thing to be happening btw) goes beyond having a selection of seats available.

NEW assistant manager...Aaron Downes
A real positive for me. A leader when he was here on the pitch and a top bloke too. He will only further enhance the positive feeling in amongst the squad which Johnson has so quickly established from the gloom left by Owers. It also fills you with a greater hope that Johnson is planning a long term stay with him bringing in an Assistant and also his brother as scout.
