I would have thought that the deadline for a deal would be 5 minutes before we default to ownership by GI. As far as I'm aware, there's still negotiations going on.

Can we raise £400,000. Yes or No?
It's good there's something in place to throw money into Matt, if necessary ! But rather than chucking it in now, whilst rumours of potential buyers abound ( as opposed to default ownership at the end of January), I'll keep it with me thanks; rather than transferring it & getting it back again. Last time we had a crowdfunder event, my money was restored to me. There's a difference between backpedalling & being prepared.

Can we raise £400,000. Yes or No?
...I'm waiting to see who the 'buyers' are first.....until then my £ 400 stays in the bank & earns me £0.02 in interest.

Fitzpatrick tried but looked frustrated as his shots into the box were totally wasted because nobody thought it was a good idea to put some energy into chasing the ball
Williams worked a bit harder than usual
Young looked occasionally like he might create something, but didn't have a particularly good game
4 guys from Halifax who had more energy than the team, & kept trying to encourage them

Can we raise £400,000. Yes or No?
A lot of fans have stopped their regular donations to the Players Fund; some stopped when it looked almost certain that GI would become the owners earlier in the year; & others have stopped more recently for various reasons (disappointment, uncertainty about ownership, disenchantment etc); some have decided to pay into The Yellow Fund (TUST account ) instead.

Where's everyone gone in the forum?
someone has commented on BTPIR that this was 'referred to as 'the kiddies site' by some because Louis was 'a kid' when he set this forum up (as SG confirms on this thread); others thought that the content on here sometimes has been 'kiddy-like'(as you say, Admins, some posters no longer belong ). BTPIR has also suggested that they don't mind being referred to as the Old Gits Club in comparison. Personally, I like the fact that there are three forums; I don't see that as dis-united or necessarily destructive. I belong to all three, but don't 'pop in' much to TFF.I am appreciative however that people take the time & trouble to run these forums for us. Thanks Admins !

Berry back but theres no money to sign him!
I would love Alpine Joe to please be a little bit more specific about the way that TUST is attempting to overthrow the current ownership set up; I haven't authorised them to do that, & I'm as important as any other member. My money sits in a Fund at the moment Arcadia, & the amounts are detailed to me by e mail every month; that Fund is being accumulated in case another situation arises, as it did with the current owners, where it suddenly became apparent that the chains were going to be put across the doors by the following Friday. There'll be no Deano potentially to try to persuade 10 investors to put in £ 30 k each again.

Torquay United Official Supporters Club (TUOSC)
I'm not sure why the Travel Club is being presented as a 'separate entity ' ? It exists for the supporters who want to travel on the coach to Away games. We had to form a 'Club' because a couple of our fans misbehaved at Basingstoke & Forest Green Rovers (a brawl & a flare respectively) & we thus acquired a bad reputation amongst police forces; so we had to acquire an 'official' status. It doesn't exist to rival TUST or the TUOSC (arrived too late to get a programme yesterday, & didn't listen at half time because a friend had turned up for his first match of the season & I was trying to listen to his news); you have to join (£ 2 per season) to travel on the coach...simples ! May I say that it's good fun; you arrive in a group, don't have to find somewhere to park or pay parking fees; & there's some good chat en route !Obviously you do have to pay the coach fare !
