Two strikers Imminent?
hope we still have this forum in 2018. Soon everybody will be afraid to post anything at all in case it offends anybody. And no ,that doesn't mean that I condone offensive language; I'm just pointing out that it's getting more difficult to have any sort of conversation these days; & easier for bullies to put people down. The forecast is for a windy and dry afternoon tomorrow, so I hope the rain covers will be sufficient to get the match on.There's a Facebook poll to see if we would welcome back Blissett.

Breaking Cover
Actually, Eddieh, YorkieAndy cares a lot about our club. He's followed them extensively across the country, home & away in the past; whilst going through a very difficult time in his life, he tried to walk away. He's found, like many of us, that it's very difficult to walk away once bitten by the TUFC bug; for some, that's a lifelong affliction ! We need all the supporters that we can get at the moment to survive the lowest ebb in the club's history, so don't be so quick to discard people; just carry on scrolling (tl;dr) if his posts don't suit your taste, but don't tell people to bugger off if you don't mind. COYYs !

the forecast is rain stopping in the early morning, & sunny during the match. Are you going to join us in the choir Merse ? Might see you at Wrexham or Lincoln then, Yorkie Andy. I'm not going to Barrow.

this match is segregated. Don't think we have access to Ravens Bar...the club website just says that away supporters have access to outside catering & we're only allocated uncovered terracing for standing. Anyone who needs seating should ring the Club on 020 8460 5291.
We won't have the drum.

Torquay v Woking 14/01/17
I wishes I'd stayed home in the warm instead of freezing at Plainmoor watching mainly rubbish; Woking put some nice footballing moves together from time to time. I don't think I've ever contemplated leaving at half time before, but it was obvious it wasn't going to get any better. My colleagues on the Bench are so depressed now, it's awful. I'll go to Maidstone, but if there's no improvement, I might stay home in future.

Forest Green v Torquay new years day 2017
FGR may be stuck at the top of Nailsworth at the moment but their sugar daddy is going to build them a state-of-the-art new stadium three miles away with business park attached & training facilities right next to the M5.

A lesson for the Gulls
It has been much mentioned on forums in recent months that you probably cannot build expensive houses at Plainmoor because of the area that it is in; however, it has also been mooted , you could turn Plainmoor over to the former Westlands School )is it now Spires Academy?) who have use of the underbelly of Bristows Bench; swop it for their playing fields at Quinta. I don't personally know Quinta, but I'm told you can build nicer (more expensive) houses there. I don't really care, but then I'm not a property developer. All you have to do is provide an alternative stadium for the sitting tenants at Plainmoor. So it's not about building houses at Plainmoor. I don't know if this is what Modgull means, but I'm not laughing anyway.

York city v Torquay Utd 17.12.16
The Travel Club was there. Another decent day out spoilt by ninety minutes of football. We never looked like scoring; so not as 'good' as Braintree ! (yes, I was there as well).Disappointed not to see YorkieAndy though, he threatened to attend this match earlier in the season.
