Pre Season Friendly: Torquay v Plymouth
Going to the match tonight. I've just moved to Ottery St Mary from Harrow so I guess I ought to change my username. Can anyone tell me where's the best place to park near the ground as in the past I've always travelled by train/ taxi. Really looking forward to the game and seeing CH's style of play

Portsmouth v Torquay
Wow, heart stopping listening today. So glad Pearce had a stormer. Thought his performance in the home tie was immense and was gutted to see him dropped by Knill. I am at last beginning to believe that we have a chance of remaining a league club next season. A long way to go but the team must be buzzing now. Bring it on!!!

Re: The 3 groups of supporters
How about a 2A group who believe that Ling did an ok job and was highly unfortunate to lose his job through 'circumstances' but believe also that given a bit of luck eg. the fitness of players, Knill's team would have picked up enough points for us not having to be having this debate in the first place!

Re: Torquay Fans Demographic Poll
Well I had to put Home Counties as I own a house in , surprise surprise, North Harrow. However I am currently living in Langford Bedfordhire and will very soon relocate to East Devon as my house is being sold. Confused??! So am I!!

Re: The Matchday Experience
Leave Brucie alone, why don't you. He is actually one of the highlights of this board. A bit like Richard Wilson. You have to agree with him even though you know he is a bit left field. So keep going Brucie mate.Keep telling it how it is!!!

Re: Today i passed ?????????? Ground
On a very recent trip to visit my brother in Pickering we spent the day in Scarborough. Went past the locked gates of Scarborough FC which was really sad. Just an overgrown field now R.I.P

Re: Player to bring in (suggestions)
How many times have we made the mistake of assuming former, well regarded Gulls will live up to their earlier triumphs, only to be bitterly disappointed ? David Graham, and Martin Gritton being two such examples. We cant live in the past and I certainly wouldnt want either Adebayo or Jake Robinson back, good though they were in their day. Alan Knill will no doubt have a few names he is chasing and I cant wait to see who he brings in. Expect former Bury and Scunny names to figure.leetufc wrote:I think Zebs would be a good signing if the deal was right. I wouldn't break the bank to sign him as I don't think the risk is worth it, and definitely nothing longer than a year.
Bayo would be an okay signing, but one where I'm wouldn;t be ecstatic if he signed and not gutted if we didn't.
Not sure about Robinson. He had a good spell on loan at us but he hasn't exactly set the world on fire anywhere else.
I would hope Knill had his own targets though rather than relying on a load of ex TUFC players.

Re: Hoping we get busy in the transfer market
Ah here we go again. God almighty himself throwing his bully boy weight around making fun of new posters who clearly don't have his intellectual capacity! Shame on you ! This was a quite reasonable statement that didn't need such a put down just to make you feel more important!ferrarilover wrote:Wow, what an interesting and original thought. The rest of us were definitely hoping he'd sign a load of old sh*t and get us relegated. =D

Re: Danny Stevens - Thankyou
Well I don't get to see too many games living in London but whenever I have over the last 5 or 6 years Danny has always played very well. Plenty of pace and an eye for goal. I accept that has not always been the case but I for one will be sorry to see him go. Best of luck paper boy wherever you end up. Just as long as its not back at scummy Luton!!!
