Re: burton albion v torquay united - 17/3/12
Great day and the first match I have managed to see in a while. So nice to see a Torquay side play with so much confidence, like a few have said the score was a tad harsh on Burton, but when we got the ball down and attacked we looked very dangerous. Massive congratulations to Rene Howe what a performance, however his goal celebration may need a bit of work lol. The only negative for me was Morris, bare in mind this was only the third time I have seen him play, but he looks to be a weak link to me, maybe a bit harsh after such a good team performance but there you go.

Re: Burton Manager
Fair play to Peschisolido for giving us praise on radio Derby after the game, unlike some managers would have done (Evans). Talking to Burton fans before the game even after this terrible run he is still well liked and respected, a good football man!

Re: Giving up on Bodin
Well I would not be surprised to see Bodin back here next week. Interesting to see that Ling still mentions he will be calling Paolo next week so he has obviously not recieved a firm NO! as yet.
The only reason I say this is that I was in Swindon at the Honda plant the other day and listened to BBC wiltshire's build up to their game at Southend. Paolo was quizzed thoroughly on the Bodin situation and the Commentator had to cut Paolo off in the end because he was rambling on so much and basically just wouldn't stop talking lol. Paolo said Billy is a good player, a top pro, and a nice lad, however he then went on to say he does't want players that are not happy, without being asked if Billy was happy or not. If I was a neautral listening to the interview I would have said afterwards he certainly doesn't see Billy as a key figure or certain starter in his side. I spoke to a couple of Swindon fans and they both seem to think Billy was desperate to play football and was not happy at all to be on the bench. It was also mentioned he had said (maybe twittered) he would be looking forward to a return to Torquay when he is sat on the bench.
Just because Bodin came on and scored i dont think that would have changed that much in the eyes of Paolo in the grand scheme of things. Paolo probably doesnt see little old Torquay as much of a threat and a returning Bodin on loan until the end of the season who wouldn't face his side anyway wouldn't cause him any nightmares. Paolo came across as one of the most entertaining but also unpredictable people I have ever heard being interviewed about football, so anything could happen.
The return of Bodin is obviously now far less likely but I certainly wouldn't rule it out.

Re: Clubs tracking Robbo
Its official on the bbc deadline day page for an undisclosed fee, these 3rd party websites all run by the same company are probably all running behind toay I would have thought.Scott Brehaut wrote: Maybe it is because it isn't "official" yet.
It's not on PNE's official website either....

Re: Bodin
Well off to work hoping there are no more departures before the window shuts, surely Lingy will be trying to use the money from Robbo's move to get Bodin in permanent, and a centre half in on loan for the rest of the season.

I've still got the programme from the 1988 game too!
Went down with SkyBlue Gull and the Coventry supporting brother in law for that one, a hell of a long journey home! Best memory of the game was Nico having their (At the time highly rated) Michael Misfud in his pocket for the entire game.

Re: Clubs tracking Robbo
Have not been on here for ages, seems like a good deal for us if it is 60k. Lets hope he is the only departure and we can use the cash to fund a couple of loans/permanent deals to help keep our form going.

Re: Meet up for Northampton?
Going to this one, is it a frankies n bennies or a TGI or are there both. Could swear it was a TGI we were in last season for a drink waiting and waiting and waiting for our team bus to turn up, ended up as 4 pints instead of 2.

Whats the point in spending money when you can pick up an Ian Morris or a Rene Howe for free. Still cannot believe Connell went for 100k!

I have only had one bet, not league 2 but got 4to1 on Coventry going down from the championship, they really are in the mire and thats a sound bet for me!
