Not against, bit like Palace/Southampton kits from a few years back... But chuck in the sponsorship on the front and it will take up 1/3rd of your slanted stripe :/Stevie_RitchTea wrote:I'm not the best with these kind of things but what do you guys think of this one?

I've got that black and white striped away one. I would be pleased to see that as our away colours, nice nod to the past, or some sort of all navy and light blue trim, havent we had one like that recently. Not surprsed to say I have had quite a few away kits down the years but only twice have I had a home kit, 89-90 when I was a kid and didnt know better (whole kit, socks were virtually sodding orange, and the 97-98 season which was a bit heavy on the blue but it wasnt bad. I did buy the 07-09 one at a car boot last summer for a quid, just for its historical signifance, other than that its a boring shirt and a rubbish colour.
Through ebay I've accumulated a load of shirts, home and away, smart and shocking. This blue and white striped away kit

We had it a few years ago now, I've got one somewhere with a tiny bit of yellow trim - quite smart I think.SenorDingDong wrote: I wish we'd go back to black/white stripes for our away shirts and use them as our official away colours. I think those colours combined in stripes always looks really smart, Newcastle United's home shirts always look good.
Having said that I was a fan of the white away shirt from last year - collared I think.

tomogull wrote:Is Andre Wright still with us? I thought his loan ran out after last week's FGR match and I haven't heard anything about the loan being extended. When is the cut-off time for signing players eligible to play tomorrow - is it 5 pm today? If Wright's loan isn't extended and/or we don't bring in an additional striker, we shall have a strike 'force' of Tyrone Marsh and ....... er, um, Sean Finch !! Someone please tell me that I'm wrong about when Wright's loan finishes.
Loan ended, he's back with WBA and we're trying to get him back down here.

A postponement could be a blessing, gives KN a bit more time to get some new players in and get everyone singing from the same hymn sheet..

A busy week.....???
I think we need to get Keohane signed up and get him in the squad for the weekend, could be a decent impact sub.

Hancox moment of glory!
I thought it was quite a funny write up - anything is better than banging on about our 'relegation battle'. If you listened to the HE podcast you'll know that Guy rates Hancox.

At 5ft11 he's still not as tall as I'd like but taller than our other midfielders.. Looking at his record of 11 goals in 53 English league appearances he seems to know where the net is, which would be a major bonus for us!
He left Exeter because of lack of game time and if Tis has recommended him to KN then he might be worth a shout. Don't know why he left Woking though? Does anyone know if he's injury prone?

I think, Jimmy, is of an age now, 24, where he is entitled to be hoping to play regularly and I couldn't say to him that he was going to be a regular. That is not to say he wouldn't have played, I didn't want him here or he is not a great teammate, but you have to be straight with people especially when they give you everything and try very hard for the team. I couldn't promise Jimmy that he was going to be at that level that he wanted to be and I am hoping he finds that somewhere else."

Can the squad be strengthened enough to save us?
re Lee Mansell knowing him from Rovers, surely Nicho knows him from Kidderminster? I'm sure he played against us last season in the same team as KN - where KN scored the most pathetic free kick goal?

Can the squad be strengthened enough to save us?
Round here they were saying that he went out on loan because he didn't want to face Grimsby (his old club), apparently he got a lot of, excessive, abuse from Mariners fans at Sincil Bank.Jack wrote:Some strange events at Lincoln recently.
Liam Hearn who was the speedy part of the strike force alongside Matt Rhead, an old fashioned cart horse type of non league striker, left Lincoln to join Barrow on loan towards the end of November. Barrow are currently managed by one Paul Cox who had previously been Hearn's manager at Mansfield. Lincoln signed Blissett to replace him.
Last week Hearn returned to Lincoln saying his move to Barrow had been a big mistake and begging forgiveness from Lincoln - a sort of modern day prodigal son returning to the fold.
In the meantime, Lincoln had no further need of Blissett and sent him back to Brizzle Rovers who have since let him go.
As Greavsie Spain many times "it's a funny old game"
Also, he left for Barrow before they announced the investment from the South African chap, he returned after the club have received near £1 million investment, talk of players wanting improved contracts now the clubs got a few more readies...

In his time at Lincoln he was only on the pitch for 102 minutes which isn't exactly a great indicator..Gulliball wrote:Especially as Blisset has just bombed at Lincoln, so is 'out of form' to say the least. Not quite as good a signing as it would have appeared last month.
When you look at Lincoln they're doing quite well to deceive in the league. In the past 7 league games they've earnt 4 points - as have we. (Admittedly they have scored 8 where we've scored 5 - but we're sh*t!)
