FA proposing League Structure changes
This proposal is not a fix for English football, just the pandering to premiership wealth, and a nail in the coffin of lower league clubs.

FA proposing League Structure changes
Thanks Gullin. That's clear in my head now.
What a truly awful idea this is. I remember the Chelsea youth team, playing in a pre season maybe 5/6 years ago. They ripped TUFC to pieces, so if that is going to be the standard of football in this "New League" then what chance would any of the "Normal" teams have of getting promoted or even competing on a "level" playing field. Surley the better idea is to limit the number of foreign players that the clubs can have in their squad. Bloody premiersip. I'm sick of it.

Greeting and thanks from Wycombe
No problem, Wycombe fan. Happy to oblige. I though "You lot" were great on Sat. really got behind your boys. It was fun watching you get excited
when Northampton went a goal down, then a bit sad
when they equalised, then all happy
again when you found out that Brizzle Rovers were losing. I didnt need to check the scores, as I knew, from your reactions, what they were. The loudest cheer, of the day, was when you knew that the final whistle had been blown at the Memorial ground, and Mansfield had won. Classic.
Best of luck, next season. Sorry not to be visiting your ground.
Its one of my favorites....apart from trying to get out of the car park, that is. Always takes about 30/40 mins.

A Sad day looking from the outside
Its kind of you to say nice things obout our beloved club, 1987 Stag. Its an awfull feeling, being relegated, especially when its "Out of the FL" Never mind. I'm sure we will be back...when I dont know, hopefully very soon. It took us 2 seasons, last (and only other) time. Hope we can leave it no longer than that.
No need for you to apologize for the behaviour of some of your fellow "supporters". Every club has its share of idiots, who take pleasure in other clubs misfourtunes. Someone had to go down, sadly, this year, it was our fate!!
I remember being at D&R a few years ago (When we were still in the conference I think it was)). They beat us and, some, of their fans were really very nasty, as we left the ground. Not just banter, but nasty. No need for that. I have never forgiven them for it, and being rather vindictive, hope they go down next year. Childish, I know.
Anyway, good luck to the Stags, next season, hope we get to meet you, in the FL, sooner rather than later. All the best.![Glasses :)](./images/smilies/glasses.gif)

Hope or no hope?
I think we would be better off (Assuming that we win) if the cobblers beat Wycombe. We still have WW to play, so, obviously, its a result we can inluence.

The burning question...
I know this will sound a bit strange, but the reality of L2 football is that 2 sides are relegated at the end of the season. L2 is nothing like the premiership, where there are a handful of teams who contest the league title every year. In L2, one season you are pushing for promotion/play offs next season you struggle for survival. It's the nature of the beast. In the basement level teams are, for obvious reasons, unable to bring in premiership standard players. Likewise we are not able to recruit premiership standard managers. I believe that, with one or two exceptions, most managers, in L2 are of equal ability, as are a majority of the players. If a team does have either of these (players/managers) who appear to be "A cut above" then they are very quickly "poached" by higher league clubs. It's the "Food chain" syndrome. Big fish, small fish.
What we really need, now, is to pull together, as a club. The inevitable is going to happen, I fear, and we will be playing our football at non league level next season. What we need to do is approach that season with a consistency. I think a lot of our problems have arisen because of the chopping and changing, both on and off the pitch. In the last season and a half we have had 3 (4 if you include Geoff Harrop) managers a change of chairman and countless players on loan.
Keep CH in the managers chair. Get our players in place, and stick with them. That way we will build a proper "Team" again both on and off the field and you never know, we might only be out of the FL for one season.![Nod ](./images/smilies/yes.gif)

18 Points...
The even bigger problem is that this is not in our own hands. If we were already above the relegation "line" then "all" we would have to do would be to, at least, mirror the results of the clubs below us. As we are having to play "catchup" with only 6 games and 18 points to play for it's got to be nigh on impossible.
Its not just winning 5/6 games, its hoping that the likes of Wycombe, Northampton, Bristol Rovers etc lose. Even if these clubs lose their remaining games, if we, also lose them all, we are down. If we win our remaining games, again, if the two clubs above us do likewise, we are down. We have just slipped so far behind with a string of unbelievable losses.
