Nice to see him getting plaudits from elsewhere. Truly Captain Fantastic today.

He’s on a par with Lee Mansell for best midfielder/captain we’ve had in the last few years 😉

It means I've got fat fingers. Ask Merse 😉

He has been excellent for sure and come in with several goals too. Definitely one of our better performances and rarely has bad games.

I was there for that game. Terrible performance.

Mine too, closely followed by CLE.

Remember watching him in one of our first games in the Conference South, away at Oxford City, throughly depressing evening. But he was outstanding, never gave up kept going and wanted to win right to the end. Said to my son after full time “that Asa Hall will be off, he’s too good for us” how delightfully wrong could I be?
His attitude and commitment has been the one constant in a indifferent side back then and remains completely committed now. The complimentary similarities with Chris Hargreaves are entirely justified as I have no doubt his consistency and hard work will be equalled and required in League Two.

Easily My Player of the season and the last and the one before that.

I suppose that it's theoretically possible for Hall to undo all the good stuff he's done this season be putting in 3 own goals, getting sent off, and then leaving a steaming dump in Kai Hepworth's physio bag. I guess that would then mean we'd counted chickens!

Unlikely, though, I'll grant you.

Wholeheartedly agree.
Asa has been sensational.

The tune Gary Johnson has got out of many players that Gary Owers brought in is very reminiscent of how Leroy got MacFarland’s side singing years ago.

Whatever happens from here on in, the character and resilience to have reclaimed top spot at this stage from the disappointment of the collapsing lead amidst the injury wreckage speaks volumes for Gary’s man management and the talent he has brought to the fore.

It’s been an amazing season and might yet be even better...

Hall has been inspirational and awesome. He sets a terrific example for a model professional.

Without looking it up & I stand to be corrected, wasnt Asa with GJ at Cheltenham ? If so he knows how to get the best out of him.
Let's not count our chickens yet, still 4 mighty performances needed , a dodgy injury or a daft red card ( al la Kings Lynn ) could yet play a significant role in this season yet !
This is Torquay United after all, weve never done things the easy way !!
