As with Verma; I would be very surprised if Richard's agent is not actively seeking a contract for him with a Midlands club rather than his client face the prospect of more time spent away from home playing for piss-poor money.

People's opinion of the player's ability are what they are, but totally irrelevant to the professional opinion of those to whom his services are being recommended and Courtney Richards is from the Midlands!

Delighted for him if the rumours are true - my only concern is what do these interested clubs see in his footballing ability that seemed to have escaped my watchful eye, week in, week out playing in the yellow jersey.

Maybe these rumours have come from his agent to help get him a move to possibly a higher end NL club with the selling point of 'he's wanted by clubs in the EFL' .. possibly? Or they have some secret information to his footballing abilities, one's he's failed to show for us!

Without wishing to be rude to Courtney Richards, i feel that we didn't miss him during the second great escape. When i have seen him play, he tends to look part of the problem, rather than part of the solution, and i would question the need for him to remain club captain. Nicho is overall an excellent manager, but leaving Richards as club captain is, in my opinion, a possible error of judgement. There were other heros last season. McGinty is more worthy club captain ... played every match, totally commited, immediately resigned and didnt get injured. Ex Man Unt too ...

Richards has been a good servant for us and all the negative comments are unfair. If he gets a club closer to home then good luck to him. Like most of the squad he is replacable though.

I agree with Brucie on this. He has always seemed to wear the shirt with pride and given 100%. So I for one wish him good luck and thanks if he moves into the football league.

Courtney Richards playing in the football league....whatever next?! Disagree with Brucie, the negative comments are fair because he is an awful footballer!

He has a lot a qualities which are overlooked because his passing is not the best at times
and he does give the ball away too much, but he has been
virtually the first name on the team sheet for 3 years under Nicholson and Hargreaves so he must have
something unless the fans think they are better judges of a player than those two - I don't think so

Watch out. Someone on here is doing a bad impression of Brucie. Far too generous of thought (having never seen him, anyway).

Richards has always been much maligned but despite that, I've always liked him and thought him to be better than many give him credit for. Utterly committed and seemed a good bloke.

I'd like him to stay but if he departs then I wish him well.

Not sure what that comment is meant to say 3 piglets.Maybe that he is a good barman, i dont know. Do you not feel that he has always tried his hardest for the team? ive never seen him give less than 100% surely despite any other shortcomings as a footballer that is all anyone can ask.
