With the Australian Open tennis tournament looming, Andy Murray is world number one and number one seed, Johanna Konta has today won the Sidney open with a masterclass performance, and Dan Evans is through to his first ever major tour final in Sidney (Sat. 08:30 am GMT). Roll on the first Grand Slam fortnight of the year.

Andy Murray (top seed), Dan Evans (unseeded), and Johanna Konta (9th seed) all through to Round 4, where Murray will play Mischa Zverev (unseeded) (Germany), Evans will play Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (12) (France), both matches to be played Sunday 22 January, and Konta will play Ekaterina Makarova (seeded 30) (Russia) on Monday.

Also on Sunday, Dominic Inglot (GBR) will partner Florin Merzea (Roumania) as 16th seeds in Round 3 of the men's doubles, against top seeds Perre-Hugues Herbert and Nicholas Mahut of France.
