Hereford United Wound Up

Post by HRG »

The saga has finally come to an end. A very sad day for Hereford.

Serves them right for being the only club whose turnstiles i had to ingest myself to get through.

Joke.

I liked that ground and i feel for the fans. If enough are passionate then they'll be back.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

This is in one sense a sad day for football but in another sense a good day.Now they can reform. get rid of the deadwood and start again. shame some other clubs were not made to start again after administration. look forard to another giant Killing by a new Herford one day.

It is a good thing in some ways Gloster, you're right. It was the only way to get rid of the crooks in charge. Hopefully they'll be back and hopefully at Edgar Street.

The old Hereford United is dead and buried and creditors will not get their money. But this is not the fault of the football fans of Hereford, who deserve a decent football club to support. Best of luck to them in their efforts to begin the 2015/16 season with the newly-formed Hereford FC: http://www.herefordfc.co.uk/2015/03/11/ ... ease-deal/

Apart from the fans, it is the creditors who suffer most when a club goes into liquidation. Hereford was a good club with good supporters and it is dreadful the way they were shafted. Also best of luck from me in their efforts to return football to Edgar Street as Hereford FC. Anyone know what's happened at Salisbury, another club that was shafted by the owners ?

Salisbury City FC are no more. Salisbury FC, formed last year, are still trying to get off the ground, or rather, to get back into the old ground:
