Knill to Northampton?

Post by TufcHills »

Apparently he's being lined up for the job or he's going to be going in as Wilders Number 2, this could.be great news for us

Based on what I've read elsewhere it's thought he will be announced as no.2 to Wilder tomorrow, I'd be very surprised if it was any different. He pretty much admitted he is more into coaching when compared to working as a manager so I imagine that is where his future will be. I think we'll have quite a bit to worry about if CW does take over as he has already proved to be a very good manager at this level and IMO he's much better than the other names I saw linked with the job - Hargreaves aside of course!

Knill does have very good contacts and with the budget Northampton have could see them signing some good players.

Would certainly make their visit to Plainmoor interesting!

But if Wilder does stay at Oxford, Northampton could sign Martin Ling as manager with Alan Knill as his assistant. What a great combination that would be, and what an interesting game at Plainmoor.. :)

Bring in Steve Evans as director of football, Paul Raynor as coach and Paul Buckle head scout and you've got a game!

Pure speculation at the moment although they are known to be good friends so it wouldn't surprise me.

Latest update has Wilder saying he hasn't resigned.

Wilder has officially resigned tonight, apparently Wilder will be unveiled as manager tomorrow with Knill assistant.

Knill did bring good players in - I expect them to strengthen with some decent acquisitions now.

Now that he's back in work, that might save Torquay some money. There have been instances in the past that a club will only pay up a full contract while the released person is out of work. Can only hope I guess.

could be a bit of a 'grudge' match then when we play them...some of our players may have a point to prove. Will the HE publish an article asking us not to dress up as squirrels (like Scunthorpe did)? Mind you, AustrianAntheaGull isn't too good at dressing up, as it turns out..................(s)he's better at drumming
