No more football league highlights on BBC online?

Post by PlainmoorRoar »

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18153109" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

"Under the new deal the BBC will no longer provide separate video clips of every Football League game online - however, the Football League Show will be available to watch as 'catch-up' on the BBC iPlayer."

Bit of a shame really, although short in length still good to see,

more people to sign up for gulls player then?

I was going to mention this somewhere.

I am really disappointed by this, as I found it much more useful than the dross on the football league show. The online highlights meant fans from around the country could catch up with their local sides but many won't want to watch all of the football league show for 20 seconds of a Torquay goal.

Of the two, if i was a BBC executive i would have kept the online highlights.
Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...

Sky do a similar thing with online highlights, sometimes a tad longer, hopefully they continue

I paid £5 for 3 months last season and the company took the £39 annual subscription without asking.

Beware of this unscrupulous company, 'premium tv' and do not give them your card details to set up a payment.

I only got my money back from the bank by making a fraud claim. Made me go overdrawn and got charged for the pleasure.

I won't be giving my money to this company again and urge you not to either. You have been warned!
Mmmmmm, beeeeeeeer.

Unfortunately the BBC is having to cut it's budget massively and sport is taking the brunt of it (hence the reduction in F1 coverage amongst others).

When you look at it, they were providing it online twice, unnecessarily, and treading on the toes of the 'Player' sites too (I hardly watched any of our highlights on there thanks to it being on the BBC website).

So while it's a shame, at least the coverage is staying on free-to-air TV, even if that means having to suffer Steve Claridge.

Yeah shame, but I've always used gulls players for two years, always listen to the matches on it and watch the highlights, as they come out first.

The Highlighs are ok, the quality is terrible full screen but so is bbc's, but they go more in depth their twice as long as bbc's. U usually you can get a deal in the in early June so keep ya eye out

Bit annoying though, as the BBC video player shows more hightlights that the Football League Show, on a Sat. night
