Only watched the second half but though LRT was by far our best player. Pace, ran at them, ok so he didn't score or get an assist but it was much better than what I saw from Morris. He has got to start in the home leg, go 4-4-2 whether Howe is fit or not, get at them early and run at them!

That's a bit harsh, Bobby did nothing wrong all game, Saah was superb and Manse was everywhere. The only ones worthy of a 3 were Oastler and Lathrope. Everyone else was just average.

Time to buy a goalscorer though Mr Ling, we had nothing up front once Howe went off.

Only watched on Sky.

Don't want to be negative so I won't. Thought Saah looked our best player, I think because he's such a relaxed player he's the only one who doesn't look competely knackered. It's not over yet, we can still do the business at home.

Okay, make it a five for everybody but Saah and Olejnik.

Manse was pants, IMHO, couldn't pass to an elephant stood still drunk on weed!

Plain fact is we made a poor side look good. Cheltenham looked there for the taking in the first fifteen minutes. Jarvis has missed two great chances in that game.
Lathrope - complete crap - at fault for the first goal. Kept giving the ball away. Couldn't run couldn't do **** all.
O'kane - nearly as bad. Morris - see O'kane/Lathrope.
A truly terrible surrender really and we have no chance in the second leg.
On that performance will be fighting relegation next year.

That's got my head in a spin. trying to visualise a Hefelump sat on a stool drunk on Weed.

I think The Rovers manager summed it up on Sky when he said We look a shadow of what we did a month ago. It's as if we have run out of Mental energy. We all thought we would be mid table. We nearly got up automaticaly and surprised everyone. I think we pushed hard with too little behind us. Maybe a player or two extra would have made the difference.
I wonder what Budget Cheltenham set in contrast to ours. Knowing they also have problems paying the bills with small crowds. Most of the other teams with our size were near the bottom. we weren't. Our expectations this season were raised when we got into the top three with that massive run and now we have been dropped of the edge. Maybe if we had been a little lower down the table we wouldn't be quite so disappointed right now and the team may have crept in and done a last minute wonder like last year. we can only surmise

Cant see Torquay coming back from two down ,Oastler had a shocker , Saah MOM for Torquay . not a win in 6 now , Lingy has certainly got problems with a few players heads down as if to say the season is over.still we need to come out firing next Thursday night ( UK time ) Id even thrown on Mcphee as I think we have seen the last of Howe this season.and Please start with 4-4--2 as 4-5 -1 hasn't worked in the last 3 games.

Proof, were in needed, that the squad are knackered. Too few players and too much expected of them individually and collectively.
Dinger said he'd use the squad rather than get in loanees, in truth, he's done neither and that has cost us dear.
Tai out, one or two others to leave that we won't have any say over, use that money to get in a couple of goalscorers and three or four decent bench options rather than the dead ends we have at present.

Matt.

First 15 minutes were great, controlled and Howe causing loads of problems

After then it just went tits up,

-
Lathrope looked tired, and was right to take him off,
Saah MoM good blocks and tackles,
Corners were TERRIBLE all match nicho and eunan
Atenio put some effort in, but hes not good enough
LRT - get rid of him did nothing when he came, never looks like he cares
Morris shooting from stupid places

+
Jarvis worked his socks off very unlucky not to score
Stevens back hopefully for 2nd leg
Howe longshot but maybe
Home crowd behind us

Going to need a massive rub of the green on thursday, but never save never

A very disappointing display. When we have no Rene and Eunan is not at the races we are a very oirdinary side. We were shown up to be more or less a mid-table side today. ML has performed a miracle to get these players into the play offs, but if we have any ambition next season today has highlighted that certain players are not up to the job. Notably, Jarvis and Atieno were given a golden opportunity and both fluffed their lines, badly. Eunan has not performed for some time and, without his creation, we have very little quality going forward.

We made a decent Cheltenham side look very good today. Defensively they are poor and with better quality up front we could have scored two or three. We could still do something, but I very much doubt it. After today, we are lucky not to be completely out of the tie.
