Anyone heard this rumour that Crawley wanted Kee as replacement for Tubbs and we would have got a nice cut of the fat fee, but Billy didn't want to move. If so, and if it's true, any idea how much of the Tubbs' £800,000 Crawley were offering?

Did you see already Robbo has had his first taste of Bristol Rovers fans-style treatment on the Preston NE forum. One fan pulled him to pieces after his debut, although admittedly the responses were all 'give the lad a chance'. I hope Robbo isn't the latest to find the grass isn't greener as he deserves better.

Apparently Graham Turner has said he doesn't rate our chances of maintaining a promotion push after Shrews 1-0 defeat. Let's show him.

As well as Bodin scoring a great goal for Swindon, Di Canio was raving about him afterwards. Time to kiss goodbye to even thoughts of Bodin in the summer and look seriously elsewhere for the extra striker.

If Billy had gone for a huge fee so soon after leaving us there would have been a bit of ill feeling. At least he seems to be as good as his word in that it's a desire to live in the Midlands which is the major influence on his decision making.

Although there weren't many on here valuing Bodin above £25,000 as the transfer window approached I think Paolo realises he's got a teenager there with a bright future, & one who will bring him in substantially more than that if he ever does decide to sell. Bodin wants to be at Swindon & Paolo has had chance to appreciate what a quality player Billy is. New contract at the County ground for BB will keep them both happy.

Robbo won't be the most technically gifted player in Lge One & it'll be interesting to see how he progresses. There's going to be occasions when a few quick tricky forwards give him the run around, but I think we all hope he does OK for Preston after serving us well for 5 years.

I reckon it's great that as a fairly small Lge 2 Club we've got 3 good fan sites on the net. They all offer something different & without fail I find something worth reading whenever I look at any of them. Long may they all thrive...not that all this continual winning makes for lively internet discussion.

theres not that many that do really when you think about it? who's left us and gone onto really good things??

sharpey, bruno; most just play for similar clubs in a less pleasant part of the world, for more money admittedly, but the majority who have left us have just faded gently away in recent years, witness branston, benyon etc. kee looks to be the most likely to succeed but is he any better than league two? jo kuffour certainly scores goals wherever hes been, but theres not been a really successful export that i can think of?? cue a torrent of hundreds of ex tufc internationals and title winners all over the globe!!

Wayne Thomas has had success at Championship level, Garry Monk now captian I believe at Swansea and Mike Williamson is at Newcastle. Whatever happened to Matt Gregg, we got half a million for him from palace.

Eifion Williams,Andy Gurney and Chris Brandon were reasonably successful at the level above

And of course Dave Graham who never did what he should have done once he left

In fairness to DG, he ended up being played on the right wing for Wigan which really wasn't his position, scored one goal in 30 games and somehow Wigan managed to gain an extra £25,000 from him when Wednesday came in for him. The grass in the Championship wasn't greener, but it would've been if League 1, if he'd stayed.
