Southampton parking

Post by uberwozza »

Didn't go last time we played them - is it best to do the park and ride thing or just try and find somewhere on the day?

cheers

Head for Ocean Village mate, loads of cheap and free parking down there.

If you head down the M271 just follow signs for the Waterfront and then you'll see signs for Ocean Village. It's a brisk five minute walk to the ground from there.

Southampton parking.

Is that Southampton meaning SG ?

He knows the craic, where it's situated, and where to park a bike.

Cheers for the info Dave, I will definitely be doing that this time around. I used the park and ride last time which was OK but was left hanging around for quite a while before the game.

I'll be heading for the Joshua Tree in Millbank Street which is less than half a mile past the ground on the right as you walk up from Ocean Village. Away fans will be welcome there. It's marked by the letter A

Edited to correct name of pub.

You can walk to Central Station from the ground in 15 minutes mate. It's not far at all. By the time you wait for a bus and get there it'll be faster to walk.

Can we park the bus at St Marys on tuesday night? Judging by the way the Saints took apart Leeds on Saturday i'm expecting a long night. Anyone know where we can get hold of one of those double bendy buses?
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I've just been told it's changed name to The Joshua Tree, shows how long it is since I drank in that part of Southampton :)

The Landlord says we're all very welcome and he will be using a small menu with things like Burgers, Sausages and Chips. It's not a large bar in there but it is one of the few pubs close to the ground where away fans will be welcomed with open arms.

Ocean Village it is for me as well. Was going to park and ride it, but at £8, forget it.
