We are losing the physical battle

Need Duane on for Ash asap

And Collins is playing in the middle - it's painful to watch, please get WJD on!

Close with the prediction - didnt see it coming at HT which wasnt a pretty half

We got the game changing penalty from just going a bit longer rather than scrappily playing it around in the back

Game changed when we started playing further up the pitch, especially when WJD came on - running and passing in the opposing half

Happily would have taken the cleansheet over the 4th goal but good to see DAA on the score sheet

We needed a win whatever way it comes and great to get it

on to Tuesday :scarf:

I would love to know what Downes said to them at half time because we came out like a team who wanted it, but please Aaron for the benefit of my blood pressure, on tuesday have that same conversation before the game starts, first 45 we were truly dire, if the dartford forwards had tuned their radar in we could have been four down by the interval. Then, cruising at three up , we switched off, is it complacency or lack of professionalism. I appreciate we may not have had much of a choice but why the hell was collins on the pitch, he did nothing most of the match and what he did was less than poor. he just gave the impression of not wanting to be out there, I am sure one of the youth team would have put in a more credible performance.
Regardless , a good win and sets us up nicely for tuesday.

Don't like having a go at any of our players
but out of frustration sometimes I do but Collins has struggled this season to find a consistent game (he must have tried that fancy back flick he does about 4 times today and lost possession) and I was surprised he started ahead of WJD who has been excellent lately.
I thought Austin Booth was outstanding today and was man of the match.

Agree about Collins, he has the air of a player who's too good for this team. It's good to be confident, but he does appear nonchalant and lazy at times and does do silly tricks in dangerous areas and then the balls given away. He came to life for a 15 minute spell and you saw there is a decent player in there.

Agreed, we could have been 0-4 down at half time if they'd had more luck, better finishing. However that 5 minute 3 goal spell after half time was wonderful.

We tried to play the ball out from the back, which was nice to see, rather than hoof ball. However we are pedestrian and it's too slow to be really affective. A work in progress, but given were we are, just being able to watch a football match at Plainmoor is all we can ask for.

Good to give Dawson etc a bit of a rest as well now we have players back. Pitch is struggling, will hamper out play it on the ground style.

Nice to see Leroy, although not sure what he'd have made of it all

I really enjoyed the game today for the first time in ages. I know we ran out winners but I saw a togetherness with the group and just felt we may have something at last.
We’ve been ok under Downes and I really like that we are playing out from a back 3 . It’s brave but fraught with danger but was the catalyst for our second half performance.
The much maligned McGavin I thought was very positive today with some clever passes and positioning.
Booth was class and WJD did a great job when he came on .
Can’t wait for Tuesday now .
It’s the hope that kills………
