That could all change next week. In the meantime a win tomorrow will be a start.

Shame it's taken this situation for some of the revenue ideas and positive social media engagement

I hope the new owner really taps into the catchment area we have, no reason we can't have decent gates each week with a bit of creativity

Having had a good look at the revenue ideas the reality is there is only so much juice you can squeeze out of an orange, or extract from supporters on a regular basis, all of the ideas so far have merit but cannot by guaranteed on a weekly or long term basis. We are not a high wage area. Just see how attendances drop off if we have a saturday and tuesday home game.
We need to reduce the big cost items, I like the idea we have at the moment, albeit a short term one in that we have a manager and a senior player as his unoffical assistant, a saving of one costly wage, the physio position who also seems to have an assistant and a conditioning/fitness coach, can we not open that up to taking paying customers,we have the facilities and expertise, a sports recovery centre of excellance, logically if it took off, the position of physio/assistant/conditioning coach could be cost neutral, might even make a profit ,more so if we could engineer a contract with the local NHS who never seem to have enough staff to cover their patient load.
We have 23 paid pros , why can they not replace the majority of staff in youth and womans set ups, not all of which I realise are paid, five pros could cover the whole weekly training schedule, there will be issues with this but we pay full time pros and some have put in less than a game a month this season through illness and injury, they are not productive in any sense but it doesnt stop them walking a touchline giving the benefit of their knowledge and experience and helping towards their coaching badges.
Undoubtedly one of our biggest outlays besides players is our electricity usage, why do we not have a solar panel system on at least one of the stands with a battery storage system, all the stands cannot logically be facing in the wrong direction, I am sure there are many businesses in the wider bay who specialise in such things who could help us with a favourable deal.

Very simply, the only way forward is to go part time. This level of football does not support a full time operation. All the suggestions are brilliant, but a drop in the ocean compared to the wage bill of full time players

Ah so the club was ran impeccably under Osborne’s tenure?

So impeccably that we’re in nl south? And in a mess.
Perhaps if his intentions were positive and he ran the club in a proactive manner, then things may not have turned out like the way they have.

No we don't have to go part-time, nor do we need someone to throw a £million quid a year away either. Don't know why I'm even responding to a troll, and WBW is a troll who should be ignored.

For a start if the club hadn't thrown long term over bloated contracts at an over bloated first team management and coaching structure, doubt the club would have been losing such eye watering sums.

Said on this forum more times than I can remember, trim the fat, this club can and hopefully will be run better and more efficiently, for a start both the assistant and goalkeeper coaching could be a combined with playing role, and we don't need the managers brother in a job for the boys role getting paid to to do nothing , scouting/recruitment could be farmed out cheaper than having a permanent wage on the books.

Would also be cheaper in the long term to have a better more worth system of checking potential new signings aren't arriving at TQ1 as the walking wounded before they've even kicked a ball for us, when your short of money it's vital you get maximum production out of all players, injury's and suspensions of course can't be helped, but can be kept to a minimum.

Of course any new owner will have to bring stability followed by a period of sustainability, how does that happen, well I've been banging on here for 10 years or more about this. It's not about throwing big money and 3 year contracts at big names we clearly can't afford, it absolutely is about scouting, we've seen already Austen Booth grow in stature and confidence, the entire South West counties is full of semi-pro Austen Booth types who'd jump at the chance at one last shot at professional football, find them, develop them, and we might seen the odd incoming transfer fee.

Been called lots of things, but never a troll before lol. Just giving opinion, agree with it or not, it's up to you....but at least try and be polite.
There is a reason why almost all clubs at our level are part time, thinking of going part time or have financial backers.
The model you outline above is rose tinted spectacle stuff....it it were that straightforward, all clubs would be doing it.

As mentioned before, the guy in the tea stand needs to up his game and sell a bit quicker. How many of those still stuck in his queue just after half time and missed the goals will be queuing up at the next game for tea or a pasty?

Most clubs at level do not already have a full time professional football club infrustucture in place as we do.

My model isn't rose tinted, is basic common sense, a lot of clubs use or have used player / coaches, as we have in the past at TUFC.

I seem to remember Grant Fisher when first team keeper at Buckland running sessions for all the clubs then goalkeepers, if they can, we can.

Paul Buckle was known for using scouting reports, pretty sure they were prepared by John Milton, not sure whether he was paid or sub contracted however

All what I said can be done and would cut costs.

Well put mate - another good Dave post....
Getting sick of them now tbh....
Also, I'm sure there are some professional people out there that would now love to get involved with TUFC in some capacity moving forward to help out - whether they are football, financial, medical etc. now that they would be able too and be welcomed.....
