The Gulls go into Saturdays game off the back of another poor result, although reports from those at Tuesday nights 3.2 away loss at Maidstone suggest a much improve performance, whilst it's been said after a number of match's won of the back of a poor performance a win is a win, the same applies in the other direction, doesn't matter how the team battled, they got 0 points.
I don't believe in being either positive or negative just for the sake of it, there must be some credit given for Tuesday night, and if that's a sign of a consistent run of improved performances, results will soon follow, but that remains to be seen.
I was unable to follow the events of Tuesday night, believe both Marshall and Moxey were withdrawn with injuries, so will interesting what type of defence we'll see fielded in this game, which could be key.
Back in August TUFC picked up a credible 1.2 away win at Arbour Park, however a lot has changed since then, Slough have recovered from a very slow start to the season by their normal high standards at this level, while we've seen our own team pick up only one win so far in this calendar year.
Think it's fair to say Slough's management will be aware of the unrest, anger and frustration around TQ1 at the moment, and I'm sure they will try to use that to their advantage Saturday, an early goal for them, or a prolonged period without our team scoring, and the crowd atmosphere will turn toxic.
In the majority of games so far this season I've been fairly certain which way the result will land, not much of an idea for this one, if we see a repeat of Tuesday, can see a TUFC win, any repeat of last Saturday v St Albans and Slough will stroll away with the points, so sitting on the fence for this one, the team concede too many, but there's goals in our team.
TUFC 2 v 2 Slough.
