No chance, he'll still be here on the final day. The only thing that might get rid of him is a sizeable and continuous fall in attendances as the season progresses, but other than that he is fire proof.

It's a results game and come Sat we could see ourselves 2 points off 2nd spot with two games in hand on those below us. Aside from Yeovil most of the teams in this league would like to be in our position. And I certainly have not heard other teams supporters screaming sack the manager, get rid of the players, fold the club and start again as a part-time, low budget phoenix club supported by one man and his dog in the 9th tier of the league pyramid consisting of 16 sub-regional leagues. And before the reply's of 'it's just the manager' many of the points above have been raised in the comments this season.

A very nervy Torquay 2-1 win
After no doubt going behind.
Maybe a win will start a run seeing us climb back to the top!

Sadly, I can’t see us scoring.

Seriously, we cannot lose to Dover. Anything other than a win is unacceptable. They're bottom for a reason.

But.... we are Torquay United so anything could happen on Saturday.

So here goes.... Torquay 7 Calais 1

No, my medication is wearing off. But I'll be the one laughing when our new striker Marshall bags himself a double hat-trick and Halstead heads one in on the 99th minute with Dover scoring from the re-start with the last kick of the game which hits both posts before Marshall falls over his bootlaces and inadvertently heads it over the line.

C'mon lets face it... we're becoming a joke in this league so we might as well dream the impossible.

:keepie:
