Don't mean to be pessimistic and it was good to win, but boy did that feel like endurance rather than entertainment. Sorry to bring it down, maybe I was just feeling the cold 🥶

Yep, it definetely was taxing on the nerves, yet another cobbled together eleven that did not quite function as johnson would have liked, stobbs in central midfield first half was as as close to a tactical disaster as you imagine in your worst dreams, he was far better second half back on the wing but he was 100 per cent responsible for their goal, having gone into a half hearted tackle with mampolo and losing out he stood stock still as if to say well I tried someone else have a go as the tonbridge lad just ran through him and scored a good goal, the more I see of the lad Hasrris at left back the more he is a class act, knowing our luck his parent club will recall him, Ash ran and ran all afternoon and deserved his goal. We definetely need donnellan back sharpish plus we are now in december and dawson has still not shown his face, anyone have any ideas on him , same with hall. with three going off with injuries this afternoon the last think we need is a game tuesday.

No, it was a pretty poor game between two average sides. Our best move led to a lovely goal from Desilva. However I thought we spent the rest of the half showing the opposition too much respect.
The second half we were well off the pace again and it was only their equaliser that sparked us back into life. With the second goal we again slipped back into playing some distinctly average stuff. No doubt the 3 injuries didn't help.

Ash, he's scored 8 I think which is not bad considering the way we've played as a team so far this season, but POS so far? Misses chances, falls to the ground and waits for a non existent whistle, which I always find irritating, so a no for me.

Desilva was hot and cold, the same as Stobbs. Some really good stuff in between poor play.

Lapslie again held the midfield together, Mcgavin did show more fight in the tackle and in retrieving the ball but at the expense of having space to do his thing.

We missed Dolan badly, gone was the shoot on sight policy and the help for Lapslie.

Injuries were worrying, not sure what side we'll put out on Tuesday. As per normal, no news on our injured players and their expected return time. Thought Dawson was due back at end of November, can't even remember seeing him at the ground today, so it'll be nearly 4 months of the season he'll have missed soon?

Inexcusable.

Not impressed today, hanging on for a win against Tonbridge Angels not what's required .
First half we passed the ball and kept possession but with no intent or pace that was going to hurt them. The one time we did it we scored a very good goal but under pressure in the second half we seemed lightweight and despite being a part time team they were quicker to the ball and with it. Sorry to be critical after a win but we really have to be better than this.

The standout moment of the first half was a superb move which De Silva converted after 12 mins from a great assist from Lewis Collins. The second home game running that De Silva has scored early.

The Stats show that this season we have won 12 and drawn 1 out of 13 when we score first.

After Tonbridge netted on 59 mins Brad Ash scored from a cross by Stobbs on 61 mins after which a succession of injuries and stoppages made for a scrappy game.

7 Players were injured or unavailable today including Hall,Jarvis, Donnellen and Dawson who has yet to be seen this season.

In the circumstances against a side unbeaten in 7 games this was a great result.

I thought Harris had a very good game and is an excellent addition to the squad.

Some strange results today. Aveley 3-1 up lost at Home to Farnborough who scored 3 in the last 13 mins

Bath City 2-1 up at HT to 10 man Chelmsford lost 2-3 at Home.

Weymouth up next on Tuesday 7- 45 KO at Plainmoor.

Would be a bit of a shame if he left. Has recently put in some decent displays recently.
In the present situation with injuries Johnson could do with him.
Obviously we won't be told anything until he's gone ... if the rumour is correct

Rumour from where?
A player wanting to leave is not a reason for him not to play, if he is part of your best eleven.
His performances have been consistently better than half the team. So if he does "want out" it has not been detrimental to his game.

There were rumours earlier that Da Silva had fallen out with Johnson and had been side lined. Turned out he was injured.
