Strongest 11, for momentum and money.
It will take a few rounds until the big teams enter, but decent crowds, prize money and potentially TV money are vital to strengthening the squad and maybe paying off a little of the debt.

Finally got through to Wimborne today. They told me they would accept the booking reference as proof of purchase. They asked me to arrive early as they are expecting a big crowd. Seemed very pleasant so hope there will be no hassle getting in.

They are a southern league team - whats the point of having squad players if they never get on a football pitch. We should win this whatever 11 we put out.

Their definition of a ‘big crowd’ I dare say is slightly different to ours.

Can’t make it on Saturday but enjoy if you’re going, hopefully a steady win and no banana skins to see us through to the next round.

Here's a first. I agree with Brucie. Play the squad players. Give them a chance to show what they can do.

There will be some road closures as well as roadworks near Wimborne’s ground on Saturday :-

For those of you driving to the game tomorrow, this has been posted on the official site (for those who haven't already seen it)...

Getting To The Ground & Parking

Supporters driving to the ground will need to approach the ground via Quarter Jack’s park, as Parmiter Drive is now no access.

All United supporters should park in Eaton Missions Systems, Brook Road, Wimborne, BH21 2BJ, where there is space for up to 400 vehicles and will cost £1. The ground is accessible via a short walk, with the river approach recommended for United supporters, with the route being closest to the away entrance, via turnstile 3.

...that is bloody outrageous... £1 to park!!!! I remember the days when you could turn up to any ground, pay absolutely nothing to park, pay your 35p entrance money, enjoy the game and drive home.... what is this bloody world coming to!!!

Nah, only joking, I'm surprised they're not charging more tbf.... good on you Wimborne Town FC :-D

As a side note, I see on that interweb thing that they've surpassed the 1300 mark, so should make for a good atmosphere.

...and have just seen that all car parking fees will be donated to charity. Nice touch.

Short memories. We held Derby county to a draw at Plainmoor last season in the cup. It could have easily gone either way. Play our strongest team, and if we're doing well then bring on fringe players for the last 20 mins. A good draw against a top premiershite team would give us a decent war chest to kick on in the second half of the season. Money talks.

I believe we played Derby County in round one last season. We have to win THREE matches to get that far this year.

Prize money is listed below:

2QR. £3375 (1125)
3QR. £5625.(5625)
4QR. £9375 (3125)
1. £41000
2. £67000
3. £105000
4. £120000
5. £225000
6. £450000
SF. £1million (500000)
Final. £2million

Lovely to win a few quid.....but only if we can reinvest and buy players. The PRIORITY is the league title.

Yes, however Brewers Boy was referring to drawing a premership team which is obviously from the 3rd round

Hope we go strong from the start, be interesting to see how many subs we name!

I think Brewers Boy must be on something if he thinks we'll get to the 3rd proper and draw a top prem club..our cup form in past 10 seasons or so isn't great at all, If you look at all of our away performance's so far, we've not look 100% convincing in any of them, yet on paper the away form is decent, I think we'll win, but any result wouldn't suprise me at all, going for 2-3 Gulls., Think GJ will play a blend, reckon 3 back up players will start,
