Post by SuperNickyWroe »

Rumours of Jack Sparkes signing for us following his release from the Greeks....
I'm sure that he's the first of many.......

A segment of Jack Sparkes exit interview: “it is time for a new opportunity for me somewhere else which I am looking forward to. Having a newborn, it will be difficult moving away, but you have to embrace it while she is young. It will be a different life for us and we're looking forward to it."

He won’t drop 3 levels to play for us. Ryan Law on the other hand…

Is he still under contract at Argyle? His time there is probably up with them going up.

I can't see either of those two coming to us. They'll have offers from NL clubs, if not League Two.

Argyle announced a few days ago that he's being released at the end of the season. He'd be a good signing if he wants to stay local but suspect he'll have better offers elsewhere.

I wonder if we'll be looking at Finley Craske, who's also being released by Argyle. A right-back who spent last year on-loan at Truro and seemed to be well rated by Argyle fans.

Neither Sparkes nor Law will drop down as far as Torquay.

Sparkes no

Law every chance, "drop down" played for Yeovil last season and may wish to stay local

Law might. He was struggling to get into Yeovils team last season. We could do with him and potential game time and locality may swing him our way!

If Law was struggling to get into Yeovils team, who were bloody awful in their last 10games of the season, why in the blue hell would we want him?, Is this what it's come to, getting cast offs because they're local and cheap?, We need to set the bar higher, have a standard and keep that level... Whoever thinks Jack Sparked is coming to us to either not the full chilling or deluded, maybe both, he'll be playing in EFL next season, gauranteed..

Absolutely right. That’s the lazy recruitment policy that Johnson used last year and look where it got us.

Because we've seen that GJ can get the best out of him, and we've seen that he's a decent player.

Agree with Toastkid. When Law played for us, he seemed one of the best.
