I’ve had a quick chat with my friend Google but can’t find the answer. Does Ali’s red card carry a suspension in to the league season or does he start with a clean sheet?

Starts with a clean sheet, I believe. Pre-season friendlies count for nothing. In fact, the commos were saying yesterday that they'd seen friendlies in the past where reds had been handed out but it was agreed that no one would actually leave the field.
