Torquay United v Havant & Waterlooville FC Sat 16 Oct KO 3pm 3pmm

Post by portugull »

United face Havant & Waterlooville tomorrow at Plainmoor after 2 away defeats at Boreham Wood & Bromley.

Clearly Gary Johnson was a very unhappy Manager last Saturday and responded by getting the boys in on Sunday to watch the Bromley game back and learn some lessons.

After a full week of training Gary will be looking for a much improved performance against National League South opposition.

H & W have some very experienced players in their squad so we will need to shape up.

This is a game we really have to win as no way do we want a penalty shoot out with our record of failing to score from the spot.

I am going for 3-1 to the yellows in the belief that the team know that they MUST up their game.

A H & W Fan says it is a replay if the game is a draw.

Anyone who thinks this team will make the playoffs this year, think again. Sadly, we are being out muscled again, this time by a team a league below us.

Thank god our first loan signing was announced today, I also hear another is with us and will be confirmed this week.

Things can only get better. COYY

If the players will not do what the manager wants, then the players or manager have to go. A lot of players have gone............

Neither.

Hopefully Perritt can take his place in the line up pronto. Omar is not good enough for this level.

Looks like we have found our level 😩

Out fought and out muscled again

Little should hang head in shame, not one set piece or corner with any quality, brushed off the ball time and time again and couldn't pass for toffee. Plus he's the captain, the leader on the pitch, there's no leadership there, joke

Also those busting their nuts over MacDonald he was clueless today, 2-1 in added time at the end of the game and he kicks the ball right down the other end and out for their possession. They come forward, win a throw we don't win the 1st , 2nd or 3rd ball and they score

We can't even do the basics, how GJ thinks we can play comfortably with wing backs is beyond me

Worst performance all season. Very poor. These players don’t deserve to play for a Manager like GJ. Hopeless, gutless, no energy, clearly not wanting it, if they can’t get over losing the play off final they should be sidelined and give someone else a chance who’s not carrying the baggage. Appalling.

Total disgrace. No leadership whatsoever, it did not look like anyone cared. This group of players are the worst team we have EVER fielded...and that includes the side GJ inherited in the NLS.

We missed Hall today and had no one to stamp their authority on the game.

Gary has an almighty job on his hands, I wish him well but can only see a struggle unless "real" players arrive.
