Based on the playoff final in 09, there were around 35k fans that day, so Bristol City's ground with reduced capacity is clearly not going to allow most fans to go, which is a shame. It would be great to use Millenium Stadium in Cardiff, or as suggested the likes of Villa Park, Arsenal, Spurs - although even then fans would probably still miss out!

I thought that would be easy to work out....... :}
A Premier League ground with a capacity of at least 40,000.
Then we would have a decent amount at least of fans being able to go.
Instead of the circa 3,500 fans we will be allowed.

This is interesting from Hartlepool already with ticket information. 3100 tickets at £41.00 each no concessions. Price is set by National League.

I note Hartlepools ticket allocation of 3,100 is for Dolman Stand (E28-E34), South Stand (S25-27) & Atyeo Stand (N35-N37) at Ashton Gate. The Atyeo Stand is the away supporters end behind the goal and the South Stand behind the other goal. The Dolman Stand is the old renovated stand on the East side.

I assume they are not going to allow fans to mix in the stands so as they have ticket allocation for three sides of the ground approx 1,000 for each stand which only leaves the Lansdown Stand on the West side of the ground which is the huge two tier stand that has a capacity of around 11,000, I assume we will be allocated tickets for that stand - all Torquay fans under one roof.

League two playoff 2011 torquay v Stevenage 11500 attending. No covid no restrictions. I am sure if NL had picked old Trafford everyone would be moaning its unfair and why do we have to travel so far. I am sure Hartlepool fans are ranting why they have to travel all the way to Bristol! Of course Wembley would have been the venue if not for the euros.
Its the playoff final sell out our allocation and build the yellow wall at Ashton gate.
Come you yellows its written in the football stars Gary Johnson leading Torquay back to the promise land at his old stomping ground.

It should either have been in London, which has the best transport links, or Villa Park which is the most central large ground.

Not sure why Hartlepool have been able to put out ticket information within a few hours of reaching the final but we haven’t with an extra day. And surely all four clubs in the semi finals would have made contingency plans given the short time between semi final and final.

Who is to say that a Premier League ground was available. Their close season pitch maintenance would have been planned for months. Also, who would staff it? The cost would be excessive for the return made on a smallish crowd.

Ashton Gate is still in use, and therefore available. What no-one has mentioned is that there is a rugby match on Saturday on the same pitch. What will it be like for Sunday?

No mention of the final at all on the website or Twitter - you would have thought we’d see at least a tweet about playing Hartlepool!!

This is ridiculous.
Twice I’ve gone from 29 to 20 in phone queue then been cut off.
We don’t even know if they’re selling them now.
But if they only sell by phone and each call takes 3 minutes and the average caller buys two, it will take 75 hours to sell 3000 tickets.
